    Salary package not being discussed with me

    I was recently selected by a reputed software company through campus placements. In the interview they didnít discuss the salary package with me nor they have mentioned it in the joining letter. When I asked the manager he told me that the salaries of newcomers are fixed after the completion of training period. Now I am really in a fix whether to join this job or not. Please guide me in the right direction.

    generally it happens in MNC i dont have idea about your company but if you have training about 6 months without paying anything and they are giving you some kind of food or travelling facility then it is ok but if it is more than 6 months then you have to think for joining.Ask to that employees of that company who currently work there and take them suggestion so you can get clear idea whether this company doing this thing with every new joiners?best of luck.

    Your manager is certainly right in this case as many companies fix the salaries of their employees after the training period based on their performance during that period. so you should not worry about this and perform well. If you perform well during your traing period and do your work with full dedication, then I am sure you will be able to get a permanent place in the company with a good salary package. Of course there are certain things which you must know before taking this decision.

    You should get information from your manager what the starting salary is like after the training period. also you should ask him whether all or only a few trainees will get a permanent place in the company. If both the answers are to your liking then you should definitely go for this job. And also ask him about the stipend you are going to get during the training period. So friend give your 100% to your work and think creatively while doing each task assigned to you. I am sure with your dedication and hard work you will surely be a success in the company.

    Hello,

    Fixing salary after the training period-this can be the company's policy.But I think it would be better if you ask any of your friend or senior who works there.If there is someone who can provide you with the information,then you will get a clear picture of it.Otherwise you have two options-if you want stick to this company as it is a renowned one,you have to accept the salary that they will offer you.Or else if you think that they lack transperancy,then switch over to another one.

    your manager is right in salary matter... as your fresher you can't directly negotiate salary with them.. you are first given training then after successfully completing it then your confirmation is given to you as full time employee... as a trainee your salary is fixed and after your training your salary is increased according to markets... this procedure is carried out in all companies.... don't leave this job,when you have got job through campus go for it...

    As he said the salary package is a thing not to be disclosed or discussed among others.but usually for the freshers the package is preset and they reveal it in the day of campus itself.here in this case they didnt disclose may be there is some salary revision going on and you will get to know when you will join.
    these salary things are strictly prohibited to discuss with colleagues inside company once you join you will get to know about it.

    The situation you explained seems not good.It seems your company is not up to the mark.Salary is declared after selection for the job through the offer letter.Each & every points are mentioned in the offer letter with regard to the place of posting,salary & allowances during the training period & after its completion.It is not clear in your case.
