Salary hike put on hold due to resignation of two executives

For my performance, I was supposed to get a salary hike. I was working on a project but two of my team members quit on a short notice. Hence, my salary hike was also put on hold. I wish to have a talk about the same issue, please suggest me a procedure to follow regarding this issue.

    Hi aspirant

I do understand your position and completely sympathise with you in this case. Just because two of your team members, working on the same project as you, quit on a short notice, that's why your salary hike has ben put on hold and that is purely bad luck if I may say. You should definitely speak to your manager regarding this issue and he will be the best person to help you in this matter.

Tell him that you were due for a salary hike for your good performance. But due to ill fate , two of your team members quit on short notice and now due to that your salary hike has been put on hold. You can assure them that you would be completing this project on time and they can help you by allotting you with 2 more members, even if only on temporary basis. But you request them to not delay your salary hike and to give it to you soon as you really deserve it. You hope they will understand your problem.

I am sure your manager will help you out and thus you will the deserved hike soon. Good luck
