Salary credited in my account even after leaving the job

I was working with Career Launcher and I served a prior notice of one month before leaving the company. The resignation got accepted by for next 6 months company credited monthly salary in my account. I did not pay any attention. After 6 months companyís HR manager called me and asked to return the company amount. What should I do? It was not fault. Can company take any action against me in case of not returning that amount?

Dear friend..Salary is a remuneration for the work done to the organisation/company/department.Since,you were working as an employee in Career Launcher and you resigned in proper way. Also your resignation was accepted by the company, even though the salary amount was being credited in your account for 6 months and after that the HR manager asked you to return the money,it is your moral duty to return the amount to the company. When you don't return, the company may collect the amount by settlement of P.F.,gratuity accounts. So,it is better to return the amount to the company.Otherwise, you may have to face legal procedures raised by the company.Thanks.With Regards-Ashok.

    Dear friend,

1.it is not an unnatural incident it may happen lack of information.

2.As you are the illegal payee so illegal salary can not be utilised by you.

3.As you are sure salary credited to your a/c is a wrong so you are to return it systematically, securedly.

4.You can send the amount to your previous employee by way of cheque or draft mentioning company

a/c name etc.to keep legal record you are to do this.

It is not good to hold the money deposited to your account.
As you have given the proper resignation letter to the company they have the legal proof for the money got deposited in your account.
So it will be a better option to return the money to the organisation.
If they go for any legal action then you will be in problem.
It is the fault of the organisation to not to terminate your account one you are resigned but they have valid proof for their money and you cannot do anything.
    So pay back the money.
    Thank you.

    Dear Friend,

It is good return the amount to the company asap.Actually you would have inform them before they come to know that. It's already 6 months, now it is difficult to you also to return that.so that is your mistake, you could have informed them before itself, anyway repay that amount as early as you can.If you not pay then they will file complaint,it is so hard for your career.so before they do that talk with them,if you it is not possible to pay at a time, ask them some time to repay This is better instead of not payong. your career will get ruin,if they file a complaint.

so dear friend please repay the amount asap.

    Thankyou.

Salary is remuneration for the work done to the organization/ company/department. Since, you were operating as associate worker in Career Launcher and you resigned in correct manner. additionally your resignation was accepted by the corporate, albeit the earnings quantity was being attributable in your account for six months and subsequently the unit of time manager asked you to come back the cash, it's your ethical duty to come back the number to the corporate. After you do not come back, the corporate could collect the number by settlement of P.F., gratuity accounts. So, it's higher to come back the number to the corporate. Otherwise, you ought to face legal procedures raised by the corporate.

It is not smart to carry the cash deposited to your account.
As you've got given the correct resignation letter to the corporate they need the legal proof for the cash got deposited in your account.
Thus it'll be a more robust choice to come back the cash to the organization.
If they are going for any action at law then you'll be in drawback.
it's the fault of the organization to not terminate your account one you're resigned however they need valid proof for his or her cash and you can not do something.
    thus pay back the cash.

It is smart come back the number to the corporate ASAP. really you'd have hep them before they are available to understand that. Itís already half dozen months, currently it's troublesome to you furthermore may to come back that. so is your mistake, you may have hep them before it, anyway repay that quantity as early as you'll be able to. If you not pay then they're going to file criticism, it's thus onerous for your career. thus before they are doing that speak with them, if you it's uphill to pay at a time, raise them it slow to repay this can be higher rather than not paying. Your career can get ruin, if they file a criticism.

Hi. I think by some technical or human error the company commited the mistake of crediting salary to your account even after accepting your resignation. So you certainly are not liable for any consequences and the company certainly cant take any action against you as it was its own fault.

But i think you should certainly return the amount of extra 6 months salary to the company as it does not belong to you but the company. So you should be honest and take decision accordingly,

    Best of luck. Thanks

The company can definitely take no actions regarding this. But as per your humanity, you must return the money.

Its not your money and you are not supposed to keep it. You very well knew that money was getting credited in your account.

So you could have let your previous HR know about this and could have declared it to them.

But even after that, if you get paid, its not supposed to be your fault.

Re: Salary credited in my account even after leaving the job

If you are not the owner of the money, then you have no right to keep that money with yourself. As company has accepted that by mistake the salary of 6 months is credited to your's account, now it's your moral and legal duty to return back the wrongly credited money. If you deniey to return back the money, the company may take a legal action against you. Since it's an banking transaction, the company can easily prove that the money has provided by them. Now for humanity and in order to save from any kind of legal action, you must pay back the money. The reputation of your's will be increased and it will help to get a good job.

Re: Salary credited in my account even after leaving the job

    Hi,

I can understand that due to some technical problem or data loss the company did not get to know that you have already resigned and not working no more with the company. That's why by mistake you continuously get the salary credited in your account for 6 months. Although as you have worked for that company then just because of your honesty, if you were got to know that by mistake your are still getting the salary, you would have to inform them about the same. As it is not your fault, this is the mistake occurred at company's end, then they can not any action against you. But if you want that all will get handle on a good node then you just pay back the money to the company. By this you will create a good reputation of your own on them. Because if you deny for it, then if they want they can show all the proofs like your resignation, all the bank account details regarding the salary which credited in your account etc. So it would be better if you give them a cheque of all amount which you got in your account.

Re: Salary credited in my account even after leaving the job

    Hello friend,
Its better if you return the extra amount credited to your salary account by the company.you are liable to get paid till the date you work for the company and once you leave the job if by mistake they credited salary in your account they may claim back that and if you dont pay then they will take legal action against you.
and as you are saying you are unaware of the salary credited so it must be unused so you can return it.
better talk to the management of previous company and handover them a cheque with the amount extra credited on your account.
    Thank you
