    Is this right to fire the employee if itís revealed that he/she appeared for an interview in competitor organisation?

    Mine is an automobile dealership in Jaipur.I am dealing in no.1 luxury segment vehicle where I have a tough competitors with whom I have to sustain the market which is very limited. Dealers play various strategies to increase their number were shifting of staffs by offering good salaries is one of them. Is it right to fire the employee if I come to know that one of my employee has appeared in the interview but didnít get selected?

    So,it will not be a right step to fire the employee just on the basis of this ground.Instead,you can show your concern towards him and look out his needs and demands to get his efficient and long term service.This will help in building trust among you and your employees and hence will strengthen the bond between you and your employees.This is essential for the smooth working of your company.

    You can call the concerned employee and discuss with him regarding this matter.Ask him about the interviews,his future plans.Reveal your belief,trust and faith on him.Enquire about the problems that he is facing in your company.Get to know his demands and needs.Try to know what compelled him to go for the interview.Try to cut that reason out by giving some sort of increment or facility to him.Assure him of his future growth in the company if he continues to provide efficient service.Reveal your interest to work with him and hope of the same from his side also.
