    Provident Fund not handed over

I am a journalist who had to quit the newspaper company in short notice due to health reasons. Management is yet to clear the PF formalities and it has been more than 4 years. They are not showing any interest. How to pursue this issue?

Re: Provident Fund not handed over

Hi, None of the firms or any organisation has the right to withhold your provident fund amount. even if you have left the firm without serving any notice period, you are entitled to claim your PF amount. All you should have is the Provident fund account number which is normally mentioned on every salary slip. The firm that you had worked for should have given you this account number. You just have to download Form 19 and Form 10 C from http://epfindia.com/downloads_forms.html and fill up the forms without any error, attach your identity proof and bank details (a cancelled cheque) where you want the money to be transferred and submit the forms to the PF office which might be dealing with the PF accounts of the newspaper company that you were associated with. Believe me, a little bit of effort will help you get your money..
