Promotion being withheld due to losses incurred by the company

I am working in a government organisation. Just a week back I was promised a promotion and now am being told that I will not be getting my promotion at this time because the company is going through a bad time due to the losses incurred. I am really clueless as how to react to this. What to do in such a situation?

    Hi,

There is no way to react for such situation...you can pray to your superior...but if that is the reason will will nothing to do...decision cames from top management and their decision is final...however special cases are taken care inspite of such final decisions...

Hence you can discuss yuor issue with the senior and get this resolved...however make you mind that you will not get any promotion...

If the promise is in writing...yiu can do something but verbal promise and no promise is the same thing...

See this is not companies fault as these things happen.

Until and unless company performs well how can you get the promotion or any sort of increment.

So don't get dishearten and wait for this phase to go.

When things will get normal again than you will automatically get what you deserve.

Being confused and taking decisions in a hurry will not help you.

Every company has to go through such phase now and then, so don't be worried and continue your good work so that your bosses doesn't get any

opportunity to blame you and stop your promotions when next time any such opportunity comes.

Dear you should try to understand the situation because when your manager has told you that this is not good time for the company and company getting loss from all sources so this is your responsibility that you do not ask for promotion or any type of hikes in the salary and you should try to do your best for the company to get recovered soon and take as was before in profit and if you will do it then you will be the right person for the hikes and promotion in the company because recession time is examination time for all people and you should prove yourself that you are dedicated to your job and to the company and you are here only for the profit of the company and I am sure that if you will do it and help your manager to get profit from various sources for the company then he will definitely think about something big for you in the company and will provide you promotion and hikes

    All the best

    Hi friend.

I think this is the bad situation for you
There is no way to react for such situation.
you can pray to your superior, but if that is the reason will will nothing to do.
Decision came from top management and their decision is final.
However special cases are taken care in spite of such final decisions.

    Thanks!!!
