Professional doctors leaving important surgeries to trainers

I know some of my friends who are doing their trainings in medical fields with doctors in reputed hospitals. Although they know each and every thing what they are supposed to do in their trainings but the doctors sometimes are leaving their small surgeries to the trainers. Is this kind of behaviour safe for the patients?

    Hello Aspirant,

The profession of doctor is very important for human beings. They are regarded as god, because they treat the patients to save their life.
But some of them don't take his/her responsibility positively & passes it to the trainees or juniors.Of course bossism is every where. In this case the trainees have to see whether they are able to carry over the responsibilities which are given to them by senior doctors,if not they should talk to the concerned doctor about the problems & its consequences to be faced later. If the seniors doctors don't listen to their problems, they should go to the superintendent who is head of the hospital.

The trainees should move forward in pen & paper. There will a solution to the problem.

    Good luck.

    hello,
as you said your friends were well talented then why you should bother for this situation and moreover the doctors were not so blind to give the trainees the surgery.the doctors were confident in their trainees and the way of doing surgeries and they think that they can handle it.so dont bother of the situation and the trainees also have a bit of experience in handling them.and every person becomes a good doctor if he handle such type of situations.
    thank you............

    Hi aspirant

Such kind of a behaviour from senior doctors may or may not harm the patient depending on the efficiency of the trainer, If the trainee is good at his job and the doctor has full trust in him then he can surely leave the small surgeries to him without having to worry about anything at all. So he is not required to constantly supervise the trainee in such cases. But the doctor should be careful in whom to trust and whom to not trust.

So the trainees too will gain confidence only once they perform some surgeries by themselves. In this way the doctors are doing good to enhance their confidence and also this will give them some sense of responsibility as they are not being supervised by anyone. But in case the doctors are blindly giving the small surgeries to any trainee to perform, then surely the patient is not safe. Now this depends upon the doctor and they should be very careful in such cases otherwise they may have to face legal trouble later on.

I hope that you understand my point. Good luck and thanks

This is really not going good with all those candidates who are being trained under some top doctors in reputed hospitals but I would also like to suggest you that doctors are on their way but this is the duty of candidates that they ask for more from the trainer because if they will hesitate during to be trained then trainer will definitely leave some major topics that is why you and your all colleague trainers should ask for different types of surgeries from doctors then they will teach you because you have paid the fee to them and this is their duty that they give you more and more knowledge about the medical science and if they leave some important topics then you and all must go to the doctors and ask again and be forced to them and tell that we have paid enough fee to you so you must not leave a single small topic behind

One more thing is there behind leaving topics and that is about patient because if doctors will not learn something more then they will definitely feel lack in their knowledge and this thing will harm patient that is why you should go there for the patient because their entire life depends on you and this is your duty to provide best of the best to the patient so patient should provide you blessings after being treated and if you will not give good service and health then they will not have any profit at your clinic so this thing will take you down in your career so learn everything whatever you can and be best doctor

    All the best
