    Procedure to stop transfer of Teacher in BSF?

    I am working as a teacher in BSF school in West Bengal for the past ten years. Recently I had few problems with the principal of my school in keeping the interest of the staff members in the management meeting. As a consequence of this,after one month I received a transfer letter from the head office. I had been transferred to Punjab.This is quite a big problem for me as I have my family here and was well settled.Can I stop my transfer by any means ?If yes,how can I achieve it?

    Dear Aspirant,

    Transfer of a pvt./govt.employee is done after certain period of service at one place.It is generally done after 3 years of service at one place in some of the state govt.& the transfer tenure is 5 years in the central govt.Since you are a employee/teacher in the central govt.,your transfer seems due in general.The purposes of transferring the employees/teachers from one place to another are to avoid any influences of the employees to the management,not to be politically involved by the employees,to work well in the interest of the office/school.But the rules are for all of you.If it is being followed sticktly in your department,you should prepare your mind to move to new place.If it is not in practice,you can approach the head office with some of the reason such as illness of your wife/children.

    You can give a representation to the management with a medical certificate indicating that your wife is suffering from some of the deases & her treatment is going on with the doctor of your present place.Your wife needs continuous treatment for another 6 months.You are only the person to take care of her.Your children are not matured.You can write in the manner said .The management may consider it in your favour.If you have ministerial source or departmental source,this will do in your fevour to great extent.

    If you are not succeeded,join at new place & then try for come back soon.

    It is not sure to get your transfer order cancelled.
