    Pressure in government sector bank

I have given a competitive exam and got selected in it. It was for government bank at P.O position. P.O is not liable to work on on target basis and that too in a government bank. First 6 months I was only into operational work but now I am forced to sell current account. What if I revolt against it?

Re: Pressure in government sector bank

There is No such Rule that PO is not Liable to work on a Target Basis.
Times have changed now and there is lot of competition among Banks these days
So to survive in the Market even the PSU banks has to bring the business from the market.

These days I have seen that even Branch Managers of Many PSU banks try to sell third Party products to its customers like Insurance and MF
BANKS have also started hiring marketing managers through IBPS exams. These people will only sell banks products to customers.

So you cant complaint about such things, you have to work as desired by the bank and as per the roles offered by the bank
They are not asking you to do anything illegal
So just relax and try to get the business and revenue to the bank.

    Hi aspirant,
Your question is fully doubtful. Pressure is always occur either private or public sector banks.
There are following Govt. sector banks-
    SBI
    UNION BANK
    B.O.B
    ALLAHABAD BANK
    UNITED BANK
    DENA BANK
    etc...
PSU banks has to bring the business from the markets now a days.
Many PSU bank try to sell third party products to its customer like
Insurance and MF. So you cant complaint about such things that you have to work as desired by the bank.
    Be calm.
    thanking you!!!

Re: Pressure in government sector bank

    Hello,

I dont think the govt. bank would put any kind of pressure on its employee as they are employee friendly.
This happens only in private sector
But even if it is happening in govt bank then its advisable to go to your manager or higher authority and discuss the issue with them and resolve it quickly
you should not revolt against them at first.

    Thank you
