Physical punishment for students in schools is banned by the government

I am the chairman of a private school. The government has banned any kind of physical punishment to the students of any school. My one teacher slapped a student so hard that he is facing some hearing problem. The parents are going to complain in police. What should I do?

    Hello Sir/Maam,
I felt sorry after reading this incident.
Since you know that the government has banned any kind of physical punishment to the students of any school,I think you need to talk to the parents of that student and should apologise to them regarding this incident.

Not only this, the concerned teacher should be punished to set an example for the others.

There have been a number of such cases of physical assault on students by the students.

Just try to convince the parents that you are deeply ashamed and sorry and tell them that such incidents will not happen in the future.
Ask the parents to give you another chance to prove your point.

I hope the parents will realise and will not report the matter to the police.

    Best of Luck !

Yes it is absolutely hundred percent true that government has banned physical punishment to school children by teachers . . A G.O has been passed since two days back, this month. . As you are aware of this already you may not allow your school teachers to punish the children physically. . I feel So sorry for this. . The teacher who has done this crime to children may not escape. . He or she is punishable and have to face police complaint launched by the parents. .."pl do not encourage physical punishments in schools. . . . . ."

Hi. Ya certainly the government is right in banning physical punishment for students in schools as students certainly should not be mishandled physically and those teachers who do so should certainly be punished and not left free..

So if a students commits a grave mistake the teacher can scold him but its certainly not done to hurt the student physically..This can also lead to some mental impact on the student and can hurt his personality..

AS in your case one of your teachers slapped a student and now his parents are going to complain the police as he is having hearing problems..If those parents do so then certainly the reputation of your school is in danger..So you should firstly suspend the teacher who has commited such a grave mistake as such teachers are just a bad influence..

Then you call that student's parents to your office and tell them that you have suspended that teacher and also promise them that such things will not hapen in future..Also pay the full medical expenses for the student..I am sure the parents will agree then

    Good luck.. THanks

    Hello sir..........

This is very heard to know that same thing is happened for another time because it is very well known to every teacher that gov.pass a rule.As you are the chairman of this school so you have to care about your school. As soon as possible you meet the students parents and request him not to complain to the police because it can harm your position as well as the teacher. You Tell him that same thing would not be happened same time if happened then what they said you will do .And also you have to suspend this teacher as a notification to other teacher in front of all parents.

Hope this information will help you.

    Thank you.

hello sir-absolutely it is very worse condition for you.No chairman or owner of any institutions want that any kind of irrepressible thing will be happened in the institution. So it is your responsibility to handle this situation at any rate. The best solution for such type act is conversation with guardian or parents.you should try to convince them.so you should call that student's parents to your office and tell them that your teacher management has done a wrong act so he/she suspended immediately. You and teacher also should promise them that such things will be not happened in future.you should pay the full medical expenses to victim.I hope you will get success thanks

    hello sir/madam,
I think you should take some serious action against that teacher who slapped the student.
At the same time you should show your sincere concern to the family . You should give them some favor like suggesting some good doctors for recovering them for the loss done to the ear. As you are principal of school, You would be capable of arranging special consultation from specialist doctors/surgeons .
Your personal involvement would be innovative step and this may help you to persuade the family to not to take any serious action against them. You may also give them some financial assistance so that they could easily get their treatment done.
