Pension process taking much more time than expected

I have retired from my job 6 months ago. At that time I have submitted all my documents which are required to get your pension sanctioned. But since now my pension hasnít been sanctioned. It is taking a lot more time that I had expected. Whom should I talk to regarding this so that I get my pension soon?

    Hello,

Pension proceedure takes a long time in India. Many people have to wait for more than
5 to 6 years to get their first pension. Goverment red tapism and bureaucracy are the main
reason behind such delay. Sometines it takes for than a year to transfer a file from one table
to another in the same office and as a result people like you suffer. You should visit Pension
Department and talk to the person dealing with sanction of pension. It will take time but you
should make every effort from your side.

    Bye,

    Dear Aspirant,

It is court order to settle the pension case as early as possible.Otherwise the concerned authority is punishable for delay. So you must write a reminder to the head of the office from where you have resigned from your service.See whether your pension paper has been sent to Accountant General office in your state. If it has been sent properly,It would have taken 1-2 months to get you PPO letter.

If it has been sent to the AG office, send a request letter directly to the AG office mentioning the letter no.of the office from where it has been sent & enclosing a copy of that letter,if you have it otherwise get it sent from your last office attended.

Hope your pension will be fixed at the earliest.Till that time you may get provisional pension from your last attended office.

    Good luck.
