Re: Are pay packages differ according to diploma and a degree course?

There is a big difference between diploma and degree courses especially in the professional world.
-Diploma courses are of shorter duration than degree courses.
-The fees are also less for diploma courses.
-Degree courses are tougher than diploma ones.
-One gets better job opportunities after degree courses than diploma courses.
-One also get recruited for higher posts after degree courses than diploma courses.

As the degree course holds greater value hence there is a good amount of salary difference between degree and diploma courses.Degree candidates are paid more as compared to diploma candidates.Taking the example of the field of engineering. The salary of the diploma candidates ranges between 8000-20000 per month whereas for degree candidates it is 15000-35000 per month. Moreover,in exceptional cases where the degree candidate is found to be highly efficient ,his/her salary can range upto lakhs per month. However,as one gets experienced there is increment of salary for both. But the increment of degree candidates is more.

salary packages depends upon many points like:
1.the very first one is your talent and potential
    2.courses which you are doing
    3.college that you have chosen
    4. percentage or CGPA
    5. training and project or practical knowledge
so,obviously a degree course is regaded better than diploma course,,so you will get lesser salary than a degree holder but it does happens always because if you are doing in company well and a degree holder has no practical knowledge then you may get a better package than himself.

    Hi
There comes a huge difference in between the packages of the diploma holders and degree holders. Initially while joining a company, a diploma guy can get a bit more package then a degree guy due to his experience but later on he Won't get promotions and regular hikes in its salary.
Therefore the degree holder people are always preferable.

    Hello,

You must be aware of the fact that diploma courses are of shorter durations than degree courses. The couse structure also varies upto a certain extent.Degree courses are more extensive than diploma courses.Diploma courses are basically short term professional courses. But degree courses are however given more preference than diploma courses. One can get a job easily once he/she has completes a diploma course after a degree course. It is expected that persons with degree have better knowledge on the subject than compared to diploma degree holders.
This is the reason that salary packages differ.Generally,A person with a graduate degree or masters degree is given better post than campared to a diploma holder. So with difference in posts, salary packages also differ.

No dear diploma and degree does not differs salary because salary depends on your post and if you have completed a diploma of three years in any discipline from a recognized university with good percentage marks then you have equal qualification as degree means you are a bachelor's degree holder and if you get the job of Office Assistant in any company and one more another candidate get the same job for same post who have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university then there would not be any difference in your salary because you are on the same post for which company has decided same salary and you will get that but if you have higher qualification than that person who is equal to your post then you will be paid more but not from starting that is why you should keep your study continue and get more qualification and knowledge

    All the best

    Dear Aspirant,

Diploma & Degree courses are entirely different from each other. You can do Diploma in engineering in any stream on the basis of 10 th class subject to facing competition & competing it .Its duration is 3 years where as the degree in engineering is available only after plus two with PCM or PCB with english in both the case.

The degree course is of 4 years.

    Fees structure is also different.

Since one has to study for more nos.of years,Degree holder gets higher post with more salary. For example the degree holder in engineering is eligible for Asst. Manager post where as diploma holder gets junior engineer post.Junior engineers have to work under the control of Asst. engineer.

    Thanks & good luck.
