Owner of the private school wants an increase in the number of students without employing well educated staff

I am the Principal of a private school. The owner constantly asks me to work towards increasing the number of students in the school but he refuses to pay the teachers a high salary. As a result well qualified teachers do not join the school and this reflects the reputation of the school. How do I convince him to increase the salary of the teachers so that well qualified teachers join?

    Dear Aspirant,

You are right at your place. In order to have sufficient numbers of students in a school,it is necessary to have good teachers, good discipline & good environment in the school which will give good result for the school. The parents & guardian want good results for the students & it is only possible when the qualified teachers are available & taking interest in teaching the students. The qualified teachers can only work when they are paid handsome salary in order to meet their requirements.

You can convince your owner of your school by saying the above facts & until & unless, the qualified teachers are recruited,it is not possible to increase the number of students in the school. Also there should be a play ground, dress code, parents teachers meeting once or twice in a year & should note their feeling for improvement as to studies & all.

There should be proper accounting of fund in the school & there should be a principle of distribution of profit among the teachers & owner so that all the concerned should take more interest in the welfare of the school.

    Hope for your success.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Hello,

It seems like the owner of the private school is ready to compromise quality with quantity. The same principle is being followed by
the Chinese around the world but in different segment. If your school does not have well trained faculty and satff then the students
will suffer much. Salary play a big motivating role. Increase in salary will attract well trained teachers and staff. If you want quality
then you should be ready to pay the extra amount. You have to tell these to the owner and try your best to convince him to about
salary and staff requiremnt issue. If he does not understand the present situation then I am afraid the reputation of your school will
    face serious questions.

    Bye,

    Dear friend

Top management should always look for the efficient and talented teachers to be recruited to get good and well reputed name of the school among other schools around. When the competation is very high in the educational field now a days, top management of the school should always concentrate what best they can do for the talented and skilled/experienced teachers that should be fulfilled so that they can work with dedication for the school through which the name of the school will be shined and the rating of students will automatically be increased. So please make a plan and arrange a meeting with the top management and explain them in detail about the school and convince them to support the teachers for getting better results in all the ways.Without proper support or recognition of the school faculty, you may not get better and positive results as per your expectations. Hope you may be succeed in this regards. All the best.

    Dear Friend

It is sad to know about the condition of your school. It is true as many people say, teaching is the most profitable business and your owner is proving them right.

Anyway, lets not talk about that now.

Let me suggest you some points which you can work out.
    1. Talk to your boss in a casual manner about the situation.
    2. Make a statistics of the teachers leaving the school and because of this no new or good students coming into the school (Show him the loss in details if possible, with drawings and graphs).
    3. Talk tot he parents of the children and ask their opinion or feed back about the school and present it to your boss.
    4. Convince the teacher to stay and not leave (I know this is not easy, but just try).

I hope these points will help you.

    Good Luck...
