Overtime for Practice for office competitions

In our office we have competitions between different departments which involve various activities like dances, one man acts, skits etc. We used to spend a lot of time during lull hours practicing for the activities but now management is asking us to stay after office to practice. Do we get overtime for this?

Re: Overtime for Practice for office competitions

    Hi aspirant

Your management should definitely pay you for your hard work and do justice with your dedication and loyalty towards your company. If you are giving your sweat and blood to practice for various competitions even after working hours then they should better give you some reward like overtime or bonus. you should definitely talk to your manager regarding this and see to it that your demands are met.

Tell him that all the employees want to give their best to the various competitions which are happening in the office but they also want their efforts to get rewarded. You want the management to think about the dedication of their employees and their loyalty and thus to reward them with either overtime or some kind of bonus. You are sure that what you are asking for is very genuine and thus you hope that they will look into this matter and will give you justice as soon as possible.

I am sure that your management will definitely look into this matter and will reward you appropriately. Good luck and Thanks
