One page resume is ideal and good?

One of my friends suggested that while preparing my resume I should restrict myself to keeping it a one or one and a half page document. Is that really a requirement of a good resume? Please tell me more about it.

    Hey pal,
Talking about a resume, it's not about the length but about the content that you should be more careful about. Your resume can be of a page or two, but if it's content is not correct, then the length doesn't matter. Many people add false qualifications and qualities to impress the employee, but that ain't help. So keep it short, precise and true.

YES, your Friend was right in saying taht Resume should be of one page and maximum it can go to till two pages.

In a good resume you should mention:
    >> Name and Address
    >> Email and Mobile Numbers
    >> Brief Synopsis of your Profile after name and contact numbers
    >> Your Educational qualifications starting with the latest or most recent one
    >> Details about the work experience if any
    >> Your computer knowledge
    >> References if any

Please note that Recruiters receives thousands of Resume each day for any advertised positions and it is not possible for them to read each and every resume in detail.
So small resume highligting your main work and educational area is enough

    Dear Friend!

Resume totally depends on your qualifications and experiences. "Ideally, your resume should be one page, because recruiters and managers have short attention spans." Its doesn't have to be comprehensive. If you feel the need to write down everything you've done in your entire career, you are not thinking about the buyer, who just needs to know what's relevant."
While every on agrees shorter is better, it's a fact that some of us will need longer resumes. If you have got a lot of varied experience or a long career, you may will need more space to tell your story.

    Hi aspirant

Ya friend you should certainly try to keep your resume as short as possible . The maximum limit is 2-3 pages but if you can restrict it to even less then its certainly great for you. There is a lot of work pressure on most of the companies now-a-days and thus the people who are given the responsibility of recruitment read your resume hurriedly. They dont have the time as well as the patience to read a long resume. Thus its certainly good if you can restrict it to 1 or 1 1/2 pages as that will be deemed more impressive by them.

But you should give your full details like your general details like name, address etc; your qualifications and your job experience. Dont miss out anything as that will create a bad impression. Take the help of a professional resume maker and he will certainly help you out in making the most impressive resume. I hope you understand my opoint.

    Good luck

    Hello !!
good resume does not require 1 or 2 page.
it require a good format and well structure.
your resume should contain full information about you. your hobbies, intrest, likes, dislike, strenght.weakness etc.

so dont restrict yourself to 1 or 2 page of resume.
put your resume in good manner. how much page it require does not matter.

One page resume is never ideal, I mean how you can prepare your resume in one page. One page can be your bio-data but not a professional resume. Resume have various sections: - objective, skills, educational qualification, job experiences if any, strengths, and so on....I don't think this can be summarized to one page! Do you?
