One of our employees was recently punished in a civil case

I am the manager of a software company. One of our employees has been involved in a civil case since a long time. He has always been telling us that he is innocent so will surely not get punished. But just recently he has been punished by the court for the same. I am afraid that this can harm the reputation of our company. What to do in such a situation?

Hello, The court has already given decision and accused him as guilty. Now if he is really innocent then he will challenge the lower court's decision and move towards higher court for justice. You have not mentioned whether he has been in jail for even a single day or not.If yes, then he has to be terminated from the office as per rule.If he can prove himself innocent in higher court then only he will get back his job.If he has been penalised only with fone, then he can continue with his job,but company should give him a warning.

Respected Manager sir, you should not worry in this case because this may not harm the image of your company because professional life at it's place and personal life of everyone at it's place that is why your one of the employees got punished by the legal court and that may not change because this is the decision of court and a legal court never punish anyone without any crime that is why court found enough proofs and evidence against your employee and that is why that person has been punished because of his crime so why are you worrying about this and you should support the court on place of worrying about that employee and you should terminate all services from your company because media may come to your company and ask you questions about his employee then you should tell them that you have terminated that employee from the service and now he is not part of our company and support the decision of court then you and your company will not loose the image of in the market and there will be no problem for you in future

    All the best
