One of our colleagues, who never completes his work on time, got an increment

I am working in a government organisation. Recently all the employees were very shocked when one of our colleagues, who never finishes his work on time got an increment and the more deserving ones were left out. This is completely unjust. How to get justice in such a situation?

Hi, It happens at times that you don't get things which you deserve and desire for. However, getting frustrated and taking things negatively is not the solution of any problem, rather please increase your focus and hard work at work place. Try to become exceptionally good at work so that you are always in your boss's mind. Also, maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards everyone at work place. Do not pay heed what your colleagues are talking about and please do not gossip about the management. Do not criticize any one or do not stop any of your colleagues from expressing their opinion. You just remain positive and keep all your concentration on your work. Very soon success will be yours and then increment will never be a problem for you. you will automatically get a satisfactory increment too.

In many sectors skills and talents may not be considered unfortunately but but the persons who are having minimum skills will be shined. In most of the Companies it happens.please don't be discouraged but Work sincerely & when you will get better opportunity take a decision.Continue your work with same tempo.Better not to beg for increment.Never expects that days are as like as previous.i will advise you keep focused on the job, work hard, make your best show forth,If your performance rating is outstanding, you will certainly get the better hike. Normally these things happen where performance management exists with out a proper procedure.Always maintain good relation and coordination with your higher officials, this will help you a lot. All the best
