    One of my sales team member go for watching movies in my absence

    I have appointed a new general manager who takes decisions on my behalf. Although I have given him the power, he is very polite to employees. But one of my sales team members is so unprofessional that in my absence he goes out for watching movies and donít even listen to the general manager when he requests him not to do such things. How can we teach him a lesson?

    The post manager is very responsible and he required to adjuste everybody time to time. If sale team member work not properly the warned to him politely. If he has no change then mark absent and deduct incentive for same day. If his behaviour is not good then you can change this type of employee who is burden on the company..

    He should be immediately called and warned...

    You must strictly take charge on him as he went out Irrespective of the warning of your new general manager..!

    His behaviour leads to the loss of discipline on his co-employees..

    Ask some authority to watch his movement during the duty hrs.If he is found absent from duty,he must be asked show cause for such irregularities in duty.See his reply.Depending upon the merit of the employee,he may be given a warning letter or he may be given some financial punishment i.e to with held salary of the particular day.You should have a written report & recommendation from the general manager to take necessary action against him.

    you may find a drastic change in him.

    Either it happens in your presence or absence.

    If you have some power in your company then why don't you own warn him.

    If the same thing happens in your absence again then tell your general manager to call immediently.

    If it is possible for you then go to office.

    Or you can call the employee at that time and ask him for his location.

    If he is unable to keep his words then terminate him from your office.

    Is there lack of good employees in our country?

    Some time we have to face these type of problem in our daily life. Now what you have to do is that talk to your employee in a very politely manner and said to him/her that please donít behavior like a un profession in office. Said to him/her that this is my first or last warning to you that please change your behavior otherwise I have to take a necessary on this problem and maybe. Iíll be suspend you so be careful next time. And then monitor to her/her that has he/she change her behavior or not .if it doesnít work then fired him/her

    You should definitely teach a lesson to that sales team member of yours who is so unruly and irresponsible and doesn't even listen to his head. His unprofessional attitude calls for a good scolding and his disrespect for your general manager should also be kept under check. It would be better that your general manager whom you have given some power, takes care of this matter.

    He should call that member to his cabin and tell him that he has been disrespecting him for quite sometime now and going out for movies , during the working hours, in the absence of the boss. He can't go against the rules and regulations of the company in this better and if he wants to continue working here, itss better that he stops behaving in such a ridiculous manner. The next time you come to know that he has been behaving in such a manner, he will immediately be terminated. You hope that you have made yourself clear.

    I am sure that he will never dare to do such a thing again and will respect everyone. Good luck

    This is a violation of professioanl ethics. You need to speak to him immediately and tell him this sort
    of activity will not be tolerated in the near future. He should obey his GM's order and execute them accordingly.
    But if he continue to do the same then you have to suspend him for a week to teach him a lesson.

    of all you must talk to your general manager before taking any actions against him directly. Ask him about the reason why he is not able to keep the

    employees in discipline, as it is his duty as a manager to keep the team in discipline. And if he is not able to do that than what is the meaning of

    making him the general manager. So with that employee it is also necessary to make the manager realize that he must be much stricter as a

    manager so that he could understand his responsibilities. This is also a test to see the capabilities of your general manger to manage a team.

    See if he is able to take the responsibilities or not. If he is not able to do than you should come into action and talk to the member by yourself. Ask

    your manager to make a report of all the in disciplinary acts he has done till now including the ignorance of the orders of the general manger. Based

    on the report give him a notice to explain the reason behind it in writing. Tell him that you are going to strict actions against him if he is not able to

    give proper explanations, like you are going to cut the salary for those days for which he has gone for movies leaving work behind. Also you can

    suspend him for few days without pay. Even after that if he doesn't realizes his mistake than you must terminate him as he is not eligible to work in

    the company due to lack of
    discipline. This also put negative effect on other employees in term of discipline and thus you should not tolerate such

    things at any extent.

    This is absolutely against the rules and this time, you need to be strict against that person because when he do not listen to the general manager of the company then you must not bear him just like that because there are some special rules for every single employee in the company and everyone should obey all the rules that are required for job and if anyone cross the rules or disobey you and other higher authorities then he/she must be punished and if that member is not understanding and listening to anyone then you must stop providing increment in the salary and do not provide any type of incentives after achieving targets and whenever he go to watch movies out of the professional area, you should directly deduct some amount from his account and when he ask for the reason then you should mention everything whatever is being beard by the company then he will understand and will know what he is loosing because of a movie and will stop going outside
