Is it ok to ask for leave instead of serving the notice period

I have to give one month notice period to my company when leaving the job. Since I have handed my notice due to difference of opinion I did rather take leave during that time. I am not sure how to put it across the management without appearing to be a coward. Can somebody help me?

    hi,

Why you are hiding your self.... if you are not doing any wrong thing, then what is the issue....

In case you don't attend the situation might be reverse..... the company might not issue release letter to you or your full & final settlement may be held up....

You should be fair....if you do this type of behaviour and by any chance the matter is known to your current organisation... the situation might be change which might be beyound your control..... always think positive....

You should also beaware about the policy of the company regarding the notice period days....You should handover your job properly... hat is also an important task during the notice period....

    good luck.

    Hi,

Serving of notice period is as important as you have to take some charges from others.... There are different company policies and which very also...
Some company does not allow to take leave during the notice period and hence you need to understand the policy first before taking any decisions...

It is better to serve the notice period for a proper handover so that the person taking handover of your work will understand the work properly...
Like wise think if you does not get any hand over from any person in the new organisation...you will be in some delima for few days regarding the new assignments..

Please understand this issue and prepare you mind set to leve in a smooth way...

See it is more of legal issue rather than a personal issue, you cannot take leave during your notice period as the company can take legal action against you of

    breaking norms.

For being more clear about your situation you should go through the terms and conditions related to notice period and the possible actions you might face on

    not following the same.

As its just one month period you should complete it, as this will also not give any chance to your company management to take any other action against you

thus creating more problems for you.

This will also show that you are not coward and simultaneously serious about what you do by working similarly as you were working now.

Dear if you have got notice period to served from your company then you must not ignore this because before getting job, you have signed a agreement about this notice period and leaving the job so this is legal and you will have to complete whole period what is asked for to serve and if you ignore this notice and go away from your job without informing to your boss then this will be illegal action and your company may file a complain against you in the court and that will not be good for your career and your job and if you do not want to be coward then you need to serve complete notice period and leave the job legally so this will keep your image same in the company as now and you will not have any problem from your current company

If you go to your boss to ask about the leave from the job without completing notice period then this will be bad for you in the thoughts of your boss because your boss is already angry with you and you too the same but in this situation you should try to remove differences from the boss and try to leave a better image in the company that your boss and every single employee remember you again and again

    All the best
