Not able to get adequate support from my team members

I am working in a private firm. We are a team of 10 members working on a particular project. Recently I had a brilliant idea for the project but my boss insisted that I should have the support of the majority of team members for this idea to get implemented. But none of my team membres is ready to support me. What should I do in this situation?

    Hi aspirant

I think if your idea is brilliant then your team members should definitely lend their support to you. So maybe your idea is lacking in some aspects and is not as brilliant as you think it to be that your team members are behaving in such a way.You should discuss this matter with your team members and ask them to list the shortcomings of your idea if you are not able to please them . I am sure that if they think your idea is not upto the mark, then they will defintely give you their suggestions and views on the same.

So friend then you should try to improve upon your idea or drop your plan completely if you come to realize that there are major loopholes in your idea. But if your team memebers don't give you any satisfactory reply and maybe are behaving in such a way due to some indifferences with you, then you should try to sort out those indiffernces and then persuade them to support you in your idea.

I am sure friend you will definitely find a solution to this problem of yours. Goods luck

Hello, From your post it is clear that there lacks coordination between you and your team members.Firstly you have to check out this area.If they dont, you have to personally approach them and communicate with them properly.Your team is lacking communication between each other. You should approach your team leader at this point of time.It has also been a shortcoming on his part that he has failed to establish coordination between the team mates.Talk to each one of them and try to get their view point. If they dont agree ,highlight the strengths of your idea. Then they may consider the issue and give their consent.Once your idea gets accepted make sure it is implemented properly. If anything goes wrong entire blame will come on your shoulders.

    Dear Aspirant,

You should follow the instructions of your boss.Of course you have very good idea for the project, but your colleagues are not agreeing with it.In this case, you should withdraw your idea & work as others. You can not work alone because it is a team work.

If you feel more problems,You can request your boss to transfer for another independent job where you can apply your brain & sense in the interest of the organisation.

Hope your request will be entertained & also assure your boss to do the best,if you posted to work independently.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Ashok..
