None of my team members are working hard enough for our project to become a success

I am working in a software company.I am the team leader of a group of 10 members working on a particular project. Sadly none of my team members are focussed and are not working hard enough to make our project a roaring success. I am quite dejected at this attitude. What to do in such a situation to guide them in the right direction?

This allways happen whenever your team members are not interested to work in the company. So for making the mind of the employees in good direction you need to make some fun while working with the team members because if you always serious then it will be very hard for you to understand that thing so a regular fun will change the working environment in the organisation and also it make the people energetic in their work. You can also promise the employees that after the successful completion of the project we all do a nice party then every one have in mind to have party afte the success. You have to also encourage the staff members to get into the training and development program to get the success or increase the success rate of the employees. Many private organisations are used to of all these things and they never take tensions in these matter so they organose the party then company always work better.

AS you are a team leader you should talk to your colleagues about this issue. If no one is working hard then you cannot achieve success.
Every colleague should have the intention to work hard for the success of the project then only we can achieve the project.
You have to inspire them about the project and for the active participation.
Try to motivate them,Explain bout the achievement after the success of the project.
Inspire them then they will participate.and they will work hard.
    all the best
    thank you

    Hey..

You should not lose hope so easily. You are the leader so it all depends on you how the group members will work. Generally when two or more share the opinion that they will take things lightly ,then it becomes difficult for the group to work smoothly. What then follows is, all the members become casual.
You need to be strict in a right way so that the members have a fear of not completing their work.
Tell them that those who will not complete the given task in the given time interval will be given extra work load.
At the same time , ensure them that those whose work will be appreciating will get special gifts or any profitable thing.
Don't make the working area very serious. Keep working with the group in a very friendly way showing others the the hard work needed.

    Thank You.

I believe they are lacking motivation and energy. Some what they are not interested with the work they have been assigned. Being the team leader you have to motivate them and refill with some positive energy. You have to look for measures that will bring them back to work. I think re-shuffling of work among them will encourage them to sit with the work and finish the target. You need to behave friendly with them at the same time be tough in critical situations. Try to understand their shortcomings, their likes and dislikes. Once they feel that being the team leader, you are trying your best to make the project a success, simultaneously they will also feel like doing their own part to make it a success. After all honest effort never fails.

    Hello Aspirant,

Motivation is the main role of a team leader in order to get the work done from a team.So sit together discuss the problem & sort out the problem.Have some refreshment & be familiar with all the members.Have some appreciation for good members.

Form a committee of 3 to 5 members & trust them to complete the project in stipulated time.Announce some good party after its success in time.Review the committee members for daily progress & try to sort out the problems.

Hope you will get your team members motivated well for works & they will start working well.

    Good luck.
