No performance award due to increase in pay issue

April is a month for increment and I was very excited to get the performance award in annual ceremony as this could help me in having additional increase in pay but my boss intentionally didnít gave me any award for the performance I performed.

    Hi,

How did you know that your boss is intetionally did the thing...

Though this is a common situations accross organisation...and trully speaking if you are capable of getting the increment...nobody will stop from doing that...only impact is it will take more time which is not acceptable...
Don't be upset..try your best performance in future.. one day your boss will change...

    Dear Aspirant,

Expectation does not become true always. It was your expectation only, you were not assured or promised for the same. You expected your performance award at your views which may not be good at your boss's view.So have patience & wait till good time comes for you.

You may enquire of your boss for the same when he is in good mood.Ask him for your shortcomings for not getting the performance award so that you can rectify those shortcomings to get the same as early as possible.

There are so many points to keep in mind to award any employees. These may include good working efficiency, good handwriting, good behaviour, puntuality etc. There may be a chance when some of your behaviour might have hearted your boss, whiuch might have lead not to give you your expected award.

So enquire the matter patiently & over come the problems of getting the same.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Hi aspirant

If you really deserved the performance award, you should have certainly got it. If your boss did it intentionally and didn't give you any award then its definitely unfair on his part and he should better not misuse his power in such a way. But before making accusations at your boss you should try to find out the real reason why you didn't receive the award. Maybe there were certain shortcomings in you due to which you didn't get the award.

So I think the best solution for you would be to talk this matter out with your boss. Tell your boss that you were really expecting a performance award at this annual ceremony but were very dejected when you didn't receive it. You are very sad right now and are here to know about your shortcomings from him so that the next time you can make sure that you don't miss the bus.

Now if your boss tells you about your shortcomings and the methods to improve them then you should overcome them and I am sure you will receive the award the next time. But if he doesn't reply then i am sure he is at fault. Then you can complain to the higher authorities regarding this.

I hope you get justice. Good luck for your future
