    No mention of salary in the joining letter

    A very strange thing happened with me. I received my joining letter but there is no mention of the salary in it. But I want to know about the salary before joining so that there are no discrepancies later. Should I approach the HR Department? If yes, then what all should I state.

    Hi.......,

    Suggestions----->
    * In joining letter you are been given whom to contact.
    * Many times company think that you know the salary that why it do not display anyhow.
    * You must call the person and ask for the details like salary.
    * You can reach HR department and can also raise such issue.
    * You have to make a query letter where you will ask for salary full details.

    Thanks

    Hi buddy

    I think you should definitely speak to your HR department regarding the non-mentioning of salary in your joining letter as this can later spell trouble for you as you have no fixed salary mentioned in your joining letter and thus can later lead to many discrepancies and maybe even arguments with your boss which is certainly not good for your future. So you should clarify the same with your HR dept and thus save yourself from the eventual complications.

    You should go to your Hr and tell him that your salary is not mentioned in your joining letter and you don't know the reason for the same. Ask him the reason because maybe it has been left out by mistake. If he has left it out by mistake then he will correct it and give you your new joining letter along with the salary mentioned. Otherwise tell him to mention your salary also there asotherwise it will create problems for you later on.

    I hope you understand friend. Good luck buddy

    ===================================

    Hi,

    If I am not wrong then these things are discussed at the time of interview.
    Not only this,the company mentions the amount that they are willing to pay.
    If this did not happen in your case,then you should talk to the HR department and should ask them about the salary.
    It is very important to clear such things before you joint the company.
    It shouldn't happen there is some kind of misunderstanding and that causes a conflict between you and the management later on.
    So its better to clear up the things right now!

    Bye!

    Dear Friend!

    There are some companies provide temporary offer letter for there new employees. And in temporary offer letter is not mentioned salary structure. And some of them they don't pay any thing compensation during training period. After completed training they provide permanent joining latter in which all things are mentioned. There may be the reason. While interviewing, surely interviewer tells about the salary structure with all the details in final round. Still If you have any doubt regarding salary please go to company's HR and clear your doubt.

    Dear Aspirant,

    congratulations for getting job.But it is not good to join the job without knowing your expected salary.It must have been mentioned in your offer/joining letter,because employees search & get job first for their salary & secondly for the company/organisation/state/nation sake.

    Working without salary is not at all possible.So,you must get it cleared before joining.In order to know the same,you must send either a email or a registered post to your offer/appointment letter signing authority.You must get it in writing.But be sure of it by going through all the letters such as offer & appointment letter carefully.It must have been mentioned in the offer letter which is issued before giving you the appointment letter.

    If you join the job without knowing the salary,it is highly possible to face problems with the management & you may be paid minimum amount & you will have no right to ask why you are being paid such amount.

    So be cleared about your issue.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Ashok..

    Re: No mention of salary in the joining letter

    Hi, Normally salary is mentioned on the offer letter of the employee in the form of CTC. If CTC is not mentioned on the offer letter or the joining letter, then you should contact the HR person who has recruited you and talk to her very clearly and confidently about your pay package. Do not shy away from asking such questions as these are very practical questions that every professional asks before joining any firm. Moreover, you should have a clear picture of all the facts of the organisation before being associated with it. Not only salary, but you must try to know every fact about the firm that you are going to be a part of. In fact, I would suggest you to visit the company's website and collect other details about the firm as well. For e.g. employee size, tenure of the company, revenue of the firm, its business partners, its competitors etc. So, friend go ahead and clarify all your doubts. Thanks.
