    No Best Performer award being given this year, which has lowered the morale of all the employees

    I am working in a software company. Every year our company gives the Best Performer award to the most deserving employee. But this year our manager has told that no such award will be given. He is not even giving a proper reason for the same. The morale of all the employees has gone down due to this. What should be done in such a situation?

    2. Switch up the schedule.

    Is it so that the employees work hard only to get the award of "best performer of the year" ? These awards are just given only to boost up the confidence of the staffs who really work hard throughout the year, and inspire other to work ever harder. This year may be due to some reason, company is unable to organise such award ceremony. There is a possibility that company is thinking of doing something else like giving bonus to the staffs who have really worked hard this year, or give them promotions. You never know what is waiting for you! I think this is not a time to sit disheartened. Wait and watch what happens next !

    Yes it can bring down the morale of the employees. But you have to learn to live with it.

    It is good to have the employees motivation policy in order to maintain the enthusiasm of the employees towards the works of the company.It does not cost much for the company,but act as catalyst to the employees.

    Since it is a common program,you should have meeting with all other related employees,discuss the issue & get ready a joint representation to be presented before the head of the company/manager HR.You should mention the effects on the enthusiasm of the employees by not conducting such motivating function.

    Hope the management will take initiation to organise the same function as soon as possible after getting the representation.

    when there is no best performer award this year there is nothing to worry and feel depressed instead of thinking about the award start work from now to be in race of the award next year manager will not give reply for that you should the exact reason for it rather you worry why its not given this time.. you should develop a sense in your boss to award this award every time with your efficiency and competition for the award and also with dedication .. may be your manager hasn't seen any employee deserving this time so better be planned about the work to do successfully to grab the opportunity next time all the best.. you should cheerup man be happy and optimistic about the award being awarded to you next time friend..

    Dear Aspirant,

    There must be employees motivation program in the company in order to maintain the interest of the employees.Since the management has not decided to give the best performance award of the year to the employee,you must convene a meeting of all the related employees & discuss the issue.Get a joint representation signed by all the employees & hand it over to the employer & the manager HR.Also report the matter to the employer orally & say the deterioration in the interest of the employees in office works.It is causing frustrations to all.

    Hope it iwll be considered positively & the function will be organised soon.

    even though your boss dont give the best performer but you know who among yourselves is the best and good performer.give a good performer collegue from your overall collegues side and have a good occassion on that eve it will be better.
    invite your boss for your occassion so that he would realise his mistake of not giving a best performer so that he may give it from next time.always be cheered up in every aspect.

    See these things can happen due to management decisions which can be a result of some problems in the company. These things are normal and you must not loose your moral on such things. As an employee you must be prepared for different types of situation. Some of them can be good for you and other can be bad. If you want to be considered as a good employee and thus want to get success in your career than you must have to be dedicated and sincere in your work without considering the situations. If you will get effected by such things than won't be able to stand different from other employees. Either the award is being given or not you and your colleagues are always monitored for the work you are doing which can effect your career very much in the company. If you are always seen as an dedicated employee by management than you will automatically get reward for it sooner or later.

    Though it is bit disappointment for really hard working people, dont be disappointed or upset. Management will always concentrate the skilled employees and give them encouragement in many ways. Don't be discourage ,Please try to continue your work with same enthusiasm so that you could certainly be benefited in some other way.     Hi Well in any case you cant force the autorities to re start the rule of awarding the best employee but this doesnt mean you people to loose your loyality towards your work. As you are there to work and serve the company from company's perspective and and to earn the livelyhood from your prospective. Not for the competition anywhere!! I do understand that this competion must used to urge an enthusiasm in you people to work more with a lot determination and with the best aim of extracting the best result. But now since this practice has been stopped so you dont have other option but to follow the new schedule and just mind one thing...Concentrate on your work and prove yourself the best! Good luck

    Hi Dear, It is a fact that awards and encouragement are two valuable words having utmost significance in an individual's professional life. Awards also help in creating an environment conducive for learning. Likewise encouragement encourages us to perform better. However, we must not be dependent on awards, appreciation and encouragement to keep going in our lives. Rather, we should try to inculcate a habit of working sincerely and performing without any push in our lives. If you keep working genuinely without waiting for any awards and recognition, there would be a day when your hard work and sincerity will be rewarded and you will ultimately get what you deserve in life.
