No AC allowed in my office in the month of March

In north India we do have winter season till Feb mid. I work in Jaipur and everybody is very well known with the fact that Rajasthan is very hot after Feb. This is middleMarch and my employer doesnít allow to keep on the ACís just to avoid extra electricity bill. This seems nuisance to follow.

Well Sir I feel that there is nothing wrong in having a AC in your office and also there is nothing wrong in the employer trying to avoid extra electricity bill. Well according to the labour laws the employer has to provide welfare and health facilities to his employees and this also includes proper ventilation and circulation of fresh air (Factories act 1948 sec 13 -Ventilation and temperature). but it is nowhere mentioned that the fresh air circulation or ventilation should be provided only through a AC. Hence if your employer is providing this facility by some other means then you cannot ask for a AC. but I would suggest you meet your HR person try convincing him in this matter. I am sure some solution might be thought of...good luck

    Dear,
Do a discussion with your Colleagues.
Politely approach in a group for allowing AC in the office
If possible discuss and join hands with your boss to increase resources to manage extra electricity bill.
Remember always at BOSS politeness solves where as anger creates extra problems

    Bye take care.

The summers are getting quite unbearable these days especially in north India where its effect is tremendous. Moreover,Rajasthan can feel its effect to a great extent.Your along with other employees situation can be understood and thus you all should take a step against this for the benefit of yourself as well as the entire organization.

-Go for a meeting with the boss.
-Explain him the problems you all are facing.
-Try to make him understand how difficult it is to work in these conditions.
-Explain how it can affect your work and career.
-Point out the benefits of ac for the organizations.
-Keeping in mind the cost, ask him to atleast install a cooler if not ac.
-Tell that all the similar organizations are having ac and coolers.
-Request him to take some immediate step as it is getting tough to work in these conditions.

hii yes its very much hot in rajasthan all of the people in india know this fact..its very sad that your employer is very harsh upon the employees, with hot and humid conditions it becomes very difficult to work yes, this is big nuisance to you as because you need to suffer from extreme heat and humidity.. but i would suggest you one idea request your employer about the ac and explain him about the problem with hot conditions and the issues relating the health, and stress you fell it in work due this summer that too in north india its horrible heat ...
if your employer is too harsh and not satisfied with your reasons and he is not allowing to switch on AC there is a option before you its that you should conrtibute for the electricity bill payment tell your boss that he may deduct some amount of money from their salary about 300 rupees per month..for summer months that is from march to june... from every employee so that atleast you will have some less strain in doing work in summer only.. all employees will feel happy about this issue and you can protect yourself from heat conditions.. all the best

    hello sir.,
your problem is very commonly faced in all the offices but these kind of problems can be solved.
all the employees in your company discuss about this problem and take some decision ans as initiators some people meet your head or boss and tell your problem., there may be two solutions for your problem:
they may arrange you with ac,s or may not; but the climate there is a bit high so you can ask to compensate the problem by deducing the amount in your all salaries; so that you can compensate the problem.,,,, thankyou..

In your case, all the staff who feels that AC should be functional in the office should meet and decide that all should speak with your boss.
once your Boss knows your problems he may tell the reasons for not allowing AC in the Office
During this meeting only your team and your Boss can come to a slution so that AC is installed and extra resources required to meet the expenses of installing the AC should be arranged

    Hi aspirant

Your employer should definitely take care of his employee's needs and should not behave with them in such a manner. He should realise that his employees are the backbone of the company and if they get dissatisfied with the company they will rebel in the form of not working whole heartedly for the company. Then the company will not be able to progress much and this it will be a loss for the employer himself.

AS it is now Mid -March the weather in Jaipur is certainly very hot and its better that your employer better understand this and thus allow you to switch on the AC's . You should go and talk to him along with some other employees. Tell him that all the employees want him to allow you to switch on the AC's as it is getting extremely hot now. And due to this you are not able to concentrate on your work and thus not give 100% to your work. This is definitely not bad for the company's future.

I am sure your employer will feel ashamed of his actions and thus will accept your request. Good luck and Thanks
