Hi aspirant 1) You helped your company in time of need. 2) THey will certainly be grateful to you for your dedication and efforts.. 3) Your image will be certainly high in their eyes. 4) But if you ask for compensation now, this may tarnish your image a little.. 5) I am sure , if not now, they will surely reward you at a later stage.. 6) So have patience and you certainly shall be rewardeed.. Re: Am I liable to pay extra if I work for a candidate who is on leave? It depends from one company to other company. Some companies will offer you salaries for the over time work which is called OT. Some other companies will just give points through which you can get some coupons. Some companies will provide comp-off leave. It is upto the company to decide. So, it is not necessary that you will be paid for the additional work.

Last month on closing our operations candidate took leaves for his personal reasons and I was asked to do the month end work on his behalf. Seeing the urgency I completed the work.
