    In a software company , Your dedication and performance towards your work is vital for appraisal.Managers monitor your performance through your rate of work completion that is given with a dead line .If you finish your task before deadline , then you get a "pat on the back ". And if you work on an extra mile than the required , you would get a appreciation from your manager and accordingly your salary may get hike .

    Software is very much performance based industry you have to be good performer to get the incentives..

    Yes it depends on the work of the employee and also the time taken by the employee to complete a task..

    So you should complete a task with a good speed but with 100% accuracy..

    If there is no accuracy then it will be useless of the time that have been spent on the task..

    You should take care of that..by this you will get good incentives and promotion also..

    Being a fresher you have a good sight for your career.

    Well in a software company, promotion depend on several aspects .

    Its not just experience or performance.

    It is a combination of all.

    >> As a fresher , Do give better performance and spend more time in work and office.

    >> Be a performer and maintain that consistency throughout for a long time.

    >> At the same time gain experience and try to learn more.

    This will give you a chance to get promotion and incentives.

    I appreciate your concern regarding your future. Yes, most of the companies provides you incentives on the basis of your performance. Incentives are completely dependent on your performance in your work field. However the promotion depends on both, the time you spend with the company as well as how you perform. As your time with the company increses and you perform well in your field, you will have better promotion chances. Yes, experience also matters, you will be offered handsome income when you go for interview with good experience, and based on your experience you will be provided with your designation.

    I am fresher in a software company so I have very little knowledge about the incentives and promotion but I really wanted to achieve big positions early in my life, so can you tell how does the performance measured of a individual employee in a software company? In what basis do they give the promotion and incentives? do they really see the work and time spent by each employee and give them incentives and promotion or just like that they use to give it based on experience or so?
