    My team member disappears without informing anybody for a length of time

    One of my team member has a habit of disappearing for long periods of time without informing to anybody. He is a good worker but his this habit irritates me the most. I have often asked him to inform me where he is going but he never does. I am thinking of removing him from my team. What else can i do?

    Since your team member is a good worker,so it will not be a good decision to remove him without prior notice or warning.But you should not be too lenient with him as this might affect the minds of other members and they also might start taking advantage like him.So,you can do the following:-
    -Give verbal warning.
    -If he still continues,ask him the reason of such acts.
    -Give a written notice warning him.
    -Mention the consequences of his act if he continues to do so.
    -Lastly,you can warn him by stating that you will report to the higher authority.
    -If he still does not improve,remove him or go to the authority.

    Dear friend,
    You have to take some actions against them.contact to all and ask them why they are behaving like this. if they continuously disappears then take some legal action like send them written notice or inform to your manager first and convince him to take some actions against your team members and convince your manager to make you as a part of another team so you can give your 100% to your team members.i hope my ideas will defiantly work for you.best of luck.

    hello friend
    It is not good quality of teaml leader whose under you are doing work.
    If your projected work would not be succeed or get some errors then it's negative effect spoils all possibilities in future.
    First of all you should contact to team leader over the phone or personally and give all details or news that you are going to handle to HR OR BOSS.
    May be due to some horror he/she will do work as quality base.
    If he/she does not agree with your proposal then complaints against him/her to boss is the last and valid option because no one can loose his/her job by someone's foolish activities.
