    My office environment is not work friendly rather it is gossip friendly

    When I joined my current office I was informed that the office is full of rumour creating environment but I wholeheartedly decided to keep myself away from any gossip mongers in office. But to my every bit of trial I failed and my office has become a place for gossipers rather than working employees. Even boss enjoys this. Please help me to eradicate this.

    Situation like this silence is the best option for you. You should engage in works so that you
    don't have to pay attention to those gossip. Don't loose your cool and focus on your work

Now what you have to do is that keep away from it if you are not the whole environment keep always focused on your work. Always happy don’t think about these types of stupidity just only concentration on your job. If your co-employees still have a same behaviors as the previous then file a complaint against all your co-workers. I sure your higher authority will definitely solve this problem…

    If even your boss suports the gossip mongers then itg is very bad for your company's growth and you are going to gain nothing here. Your boss should be more responsible and try to teach a good lesson to such people so that they concentrate more on their work rather on gossiping. They are disturbing the other dedicated employees as well by creating trouble for them and making too much noise.

    The only thing you can do is to go and talk to your higher authorities regarding this matter. Tell them that your office is full of rumour creating environment. You tried to keep yourself away from such mongers but you failed.Your workplace has become a place for gossipers rather than working employees. and it is very sad to say that even your boss enjoys this.You hope that they will look into this matter and do something soon as this is not good for the company's future.

    Your thought is really appreciable.But you can not change alone the environment of your office,because you are not head of your office.It is more difficult to do so because your boss is himself involved in gossip & enjoying the environment.

    There are only few peoples like you who think much for working organisation.Most of the people think for themselves.They want to earn more & more money for their progress.

    So you want to try for any changes in the office,discuss the issue with your colleagues & if you see there
    are majority of your opinion,you may meet your boss jointly & discuss the issue.If your boss becomes interested in changing the environment,it would be possible to great extent.If he is agree,request him to issue a notice containing the instructions to develop & maintain good work culture in the office,failing the concerned employee will be punished according to set of law.

    If your boss is not interested to do as per your will,get yourself changed to some other company/office.

    It becomes difficult to survive in an office where the working environment is not work friendly rather unsuitable.From your post it is absolutely clear that your office has failed miserably to provide you a good working environment.Now the basic problem is that you cannot change them.The nature that they posses cannot be changed at any cost specially at this point of time.All you can do in order to survive here is to put a deaf ear to these gossips.Come to office,do your work and get back home.I know this sounds bit mechanic but you have no other option.You can inform the higher authorities regarding the problem you have been facing and see how much it works! If nothing works,then simply look for a better option to some other office.

However, you can try your level best to make some good changes by discussing the matter with your boss and other colleagues. You can point out the consequences of such environment which may not be good for us.

    See their opinion. If they are agree with your opinion, call a meeting with the permission of boss to discuss the issue. If there is no support of your opinion, try to be good in yourself which is not so easy because there is no working environment in your company. So it is better to change your job while working here. Work here till you get another good job.

    arre friend this is good for you that you have got a friendly environment, people are dying for friendly environment because it is very boring to work alone. although if u have problem from that environment than concentrate on ur work people will automatically ignore ur appearance in their gossip.

    I really appreciate your thinking and your intention to work. One way to go ahead is to concentrate on your work and leave them as it is. If you work nicely, you will learn and your future growth possibility will be intact. The other way is to try to solve it. As your boss is also involved in gossiping, so your task is slightly difficult. Here, you have to take an approach by which you don't come into problem and the problem is also solved.

    So, you should notice all gossip mongers and note who is the leader, who is starting the gossip, and who is less interested in it etc. After that you should approach the less interested one and discuss the issue with him/her. If that person is with you, you are one step closer to achieving the task. Now, approach second person and then third. Finally they will understand and will possibly change.

    Working in a environment where gossip is done more than working then it's very difficult to execute the quality work. The first thing you can do is ignore such activities and concentrate only your work. You can inform this matter to higher authorities of your company and they can take a appropriate decisions to improve it. If this kind of environment continues then the growth opportunities for you ceases to exist. In this scenario, i don't think you need to continue to work in this kind of environment. You can search the new company to continue your growth.
