My boss is not able to understand my grief

I am working in a government organisation. I have some very urgent family matter to deal with and so wanted a 15-day leave. But my boss wants me to complete my project first and then only take my leave. I am very sad that inspite of having such good relations with my boss, he is not able to understand my grief. What to do in such a situation?

    Hi aspirant

I think it is really very sad that your boss is not able to understand your grief after so many years of you staying in this company and having such good relations with him. He should definitely have given you a little consideration and should have sanctioned your leave at once without asking you to complete your project. But now that he hasn't done anything like this, its better that you go and talk to him once again.

Tell him that You were very heartbroken when he didn't sanction your leave for solving your family problems which are very urgent for you at this moment. You always thought that he had very good relations with you and that he would be the first one to understand your grief. But sadly he didn't. You hope that he will consider your matter again and thus will grant you your leave immediately as you really want to continue working here.

I hope that your boss understands your point. Otherwise you should talk with the higher authorities. Good luck

    Hello,

In a situation like this you can not do anything. As a professional you just
finish your project and take the much needed leave. You must be having a
very terrible situation but there is nothing you can do, there are certain rules
and regulation in work place. You can at least try to convince your boss about
your family problems and ask him to grant leave.

    Bye,

    Dear Aspirant,

Some times it happened that your interest is not fulfilled.Usually the under employees think that they have good relation with the boss & they will get all the things done by boss. But when the time comes, the result is reverse. It is because the boss is also under some boss who has fear of him,if work is not completed in time.

In such case, you have two options either to leave the place after submitting a leave letter enclosing a medical certificate or to complete the work first & then to move on leave.

You have to see your convenient & do as you prefer. If you submit your leave application along with a medical certificate, your boss will feel difficult to harass you.

    Thanks & good luck.

Dear if you are unable to make to understand your boss then you should explain the entire family problem and I am sure that after listening to your problem, he will definitely understand and will provide you leaves and if you have got some responsibility or project in the office then you should try to complete that project before the leaves and then they will give you leave but if you have some urgent work and project can not be completed till that date then you should not request from your boss and just write a letter to the general or regional manager of your company and tell about the complete situation and mention everything accurately but you should not mention anything about manager of the office and they will give you leave if they understand it as right issue and you should also meet them after taking time from them and if you will explain your problem face to face then it will be good for you

    All the best

    Dear Friend

Yes ,it may happen sometime that your boss will not understand you .It would be better if you discuss your family problem with so that he can understand what is the actual reason for which you want leave .

For your own sake also you project is also important but sometime family matter do prevail over the career objective .

So I would suggest you to discuss this matter when he is in calm mood .Tell the truth and genuine cause .He will definitely understand .Actually some one is also above him so he cannot take decision alone.

Hope the information helps you and if you want any further clarification then please leave it here .

    All the best

    Hello,

Dont think that he is your enemy .The fact is that he is answerable to the higher authorities regarding any work. Now if you leave the project midway then who is going to finish it up? He has been given the responsibility to check that all projects are finished within the stipulated time. You might be having serious urgent reasons for taking the leave but at the same time you have to consider his part also.Otherwise the project will be at stake which he cannot afford at any cost.

Hiii friend it is very said that your boss is not able to understand your grief instead of having good relation with your boss. In such situation what you have to do is that you should file an application against your boss because the family is most important than boss so my suggestion is that to file an application against your boss
Thank you hopes you like my suggestion..
