Most of the teachers in my school are miffed with the Maths teacher as he never speaks properly with anyone

I am the Principal of a government school. I have been receiving many complaints recently from most of the teachers against the Maths teacher, who they think never talks to anyone properly. I think this is very wrong on his part. What should be done in such a situation?

See as a principal of a school your priority must be to run school with proper discipline with eligible teachers. The teachers must be good in there work and be punctual. Now if your maths teacher is good in his work and completing all his responsibilities completely than as per your post this is not your matter of concern. If any teacher or student complains that he is not working properly than it is your duty to look into the matter. See there are different type of people with different charactestics, some responds in a bad way which could be due to some personal matters or stress. If any teachers complain that he doesn't talk properly than tell him/her that you don't need to talk to him if you think he is not responding in a good way. As a principal you cannot tell your teacher that you don't know how to talk and you should talk properly to everyone, yes if he does not behave properly and fights with every one unnecessarily than you can take any disciplinary action. If you think you should do something in this situation call your maths teacher and ask him whether he is having any problem as you have got many complaints from other teachers that you are not talking properly to any one. Just discuss the matter with him and tell him to be a little gentle while talking to other teachers as they are his colleagues and he can need there help any time in future.

A teacher should have a maintain good relation with the students in such away the students can their doubts without any fear and get their problem solved easily. But if the teacher does not interact with the students the teacher can't understand whether the students are following him or not and the students wont ask any doubts to the teacher so that they read and understand the subject well.so As you are a principle to the government organisation you have the right to ask that teacher to clarify the doubts of the students and interact with the students well.If you tell that the students are complaining about him it may create a problem to the student if the teacher is arrogent. so,ask the teacher to interact with the students.

    all the best

    thank you
