Money lended by employer to family member without my consent

I was on my official tour when it happened. One of my family members came to my office and asked my manager for Rs.10, 000 advances. My manager without my consent gave him the amount and when I screamed on him he charged him the interest amount too and deducted my salary. What can I do?

    Dear Aspirant,

In fact it is not fair dealing.Without your consent, the manager should not have given money to your relative. Now,You have two options to over come such problem.First one is to move legally & the second one is to deposit the amount with interest after its verification from your relative. This is most suitable step for you. Also give your statement in writing to the manager Account not to repeat it in future without your consent.

If you move the matter legally, the managemnt may start you harassing you in some other way, because any one commit mistake & if it is committed by upper hands, they don't accept it because of prestige issue. So I think the manager has given such advance unknowingly or with some interest.

So better to settle the matter without making a big issue.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Hi aspirant

You should have behaved in a more dignified manner in this situation and should have not screamed on your manager. He was sure to do such a kind of thing by which you will learn your lesson. Your manager should have definitely not given your money to someone else without your permission and should have definitely called you once to ask you whether you were on good terms with that member or not. If you would have told him to give him the amount, then only he should have done so.

Now you should go and apologize to your manager and should definitely sort this matter out. Tell him that you are sorry for what happened at that day. You should not have shouted at him and you hope that he will forgive you for that. Actually you were quite disturbed as he has given your 10000 advance to one of your family members without your permission. You are not on good terms with him and thus were infuriated at this. You hope that he will give you the money back which he has deducted from your salary and also take that 10000 back from him. You hope that this will be done soon.

I am sure that your manager will accept your apology and thus will help you out. Good luck and Thanks

Well this is the misbehaviour of the family member you should understand this in the first place. *talk to your family member n tell him to return the money*ask him to apologise and make it clear to your boss that it was not your fault*make your manager understand about the situation i hope he will understand , n then you can talk to him about the deduction too. Thanks

    Dear Friend
It is really sad what has happened with you and also not right.
Your boss could have given the amount to your family member out of compassion and i donít think that he should have actually informed you about it. But deducting your salary and charging interest is not right on his part.
What you can do is first talk to your family member. Tell him and make him understand what you have to go through because of what had happened. Tell him that your boss is not happy with you because of whatever happened. Ask him to pay the money back.
If this doesnít work, talk to your boss. Tell him about your family problems. At least request him not to charge the interest for the amount.
Though your boss is not right here, you cannot do anything about it, coz he is your boss and you have to work with him. If there is any complaining mechanism then you can complain about the same.
    Good .... luck.....

    Dear,
Please calm down. Think what can be done for a positive outcome. I have some suggestions.
    1. First of all ask your family member about the incident whether it is true or not.
    2. Secondly ask for the accounts that is there any record maintained that it is your family member who has taken the money!
    3. Third, ask for apology to your manager for your screaming and request him not to do it again.
    4. If he is not a sensible person to consider the matter then complain against him to your boss.
    5. Also try to warn your family member not to do this again.

    Bye take care.
