Medical insurance facilities being taken away from the employees for the next few months

I am working in a private firm. Our company provides its employees with the facility of medical insurance. But recently our manager announced that they would not be able to provide us with the facility for the next few months as the company is having a very bad time financially.I have a major operation for the next month and I am worried now. What to do in such a situation?

It is good to see that your company used to provide medical services to its employees. This shows that the company had so much cared about its employees. So you should pay respect to its every decision and stand by its side in tough situation or whenever the company needs you.

As far as the decision of ceasing the medical services is concerned, the company enjoys the power of discretion in this matter. It can formulate its policy of giving medical services whenever it wants and can take it back whenever it wants. You do not have a say in this policy of the company.Since the company is undergoing through financial crisis, hence it was compelled to cease this service to the employees and this is quite natural. You being the employee of the company, should stand by the side of the company in this sort of situation of financial crisis, accept the decision and try to uplift the financial condition of the company as much as possible by you.

However,it is quite sad to know that you have to do operation the next month and this sudden decision of ceasing the medical services has put you into a lot of tension. But do not worry much as tension can hamper not only your health but also your work.Hence relax and try to arrange money for your operation from now on.It might be possible that the company soon implements this policy of medical services again after it strengthens its financial conditions. So you may get back the money spent on your operation at that time.SO do not lose hope and act smartly.
