Many of the teachers not paying heed to my advice

I am the Principal of a government college. I have noticed that there are many teachers in my college who even donít pay heed to my advice regarding the decorum to be maintained, the lesson plan etc. they always have their own way and take advantage of my leniency. How to make such teachers realise their mistake?

    Hello,

Sir I think its high time for you to be strict on your part so that these teachers can stop taking undue advantage of your leniency! Strict means what ever you say to them,it should be in the form of an "order",and not "instruction".As a head of the institution you have every right to impose certain decorums and restrictions on them. And the professors are bound to work accordingly. They cannot take you for granted.Give them warning at first. In case it doesnot work, then identify those teachers who have been doing so and take strict action against them by suspending for for a week or so.Once they get punishment for disobeying your instructions, from the very next day they will be bound to follow them.

    Hello Aspirant,

Really it is not good to know that your orders are not being obeyed by other teachers. As you said that they are taking advantage of your gentleness. In order to make effective administration, you should develop some principle to handle them.First of all, frame a set of instructions for them. The instructions may include your requirements which may the employees to be punctual, obedient, regular in taking classes, good feed back from the students for teachers etc.Issue the instructions to them & also mention that those who will be found failure in obeying these instructions will be punished by taking suitable steps.Get acknowledgements from them.

Now if any of them found not obeying your instructions, issue a show cause letter to the concerned teachers.See their reply. If they/he /she don't regret for their mistake, recommend for necessary action preferable to transfer to another unit.If one is punished, the others will be alright.

Also conduct periodical meeting of teachers & parents, teachers day to get feed back.

    Try & see the result.

    Good luck.

As responsible person and head of institution you have all the right and power to know the lesson plan and the teacher,s explanation is helpful to students .. Summon all the teachers and students one day discuss students problems and teachers problems as well its important that you notice loop holes in college thereby you will get clear cut idea of how you deal with all at perfect note.. I mean if students are satisfied with teacher teaching and also the notes they give them is helpful to them in exams or not, firstly you need to know these issues .. Secondly the performance of students should be noticed and monitored this will show the teachers work.. I think if all is right give freedom to your teachers if they show you the satisfactory reports of students..

    Hi friends,

I think it is not correct because your advice must follow the teachers.
You can ask to your teachers why are not follow the my advice's then you can collect the information
you can ask suggestions to your teachers also.
Your teachers not responding then you can punished them .

    Thanks!!!
    ALL THE BEST............
