Is it mandatory to get an insurance policy after joining the company?

I am working in a private IT company. I have just joined it. The company is forcing me to have an insurance policy. Though I have some other policies, I am not interested in it. But the company management is making it compulsory. What should I do?

You need to first check what type of Insurance Policy, they are asking you to buy.
Also talk to few of your collegues , if they also have been forced to buy such policies by the company.

After getting the above information, you need to speak with the HR team and explain them that you already have such insurance policy with you and it would be difficult for you to take another policy and pay the premums for it.
You need to stress the point, that at the end premiums have to be paid by the employees and you dont have extra money to pay the premiums.

    Hello friend,
They cant force any one to take of any insurance policy but yeah if its any health policy then they can make it mandatory.
these policies are there for employee to save his tax which he is giving towards employment.so before taking any step and taking up that policy ask to the HR what is the benefit of that policy and why is that mandatory.at the same time do some research about that agency who is providing that policy then if you feel that this is ok.then you should go for it.
    Thank You.
