Manager not allowing me take leave even when I am very sick

I am working in a software company. I have been very sick from the past 2 days and asking my manager to sanction my leave. But I donít know what is the problem with my manager. He is not ready to sanction my leaves and even telling me that I might lose my job if I take leave now. How to handle such a situation?

    Hi aspirant

Your health should be your topmost priorty and you should see to it that you get your leaves sanctioned. If you have some leaves which you haven't yet claimed , then its your right to avail those leaves and I don't think your manager should have any problem with it. If he is having some problem you should try to clarify from him what his problem is and thus try to persuade him to sanction your leave.

Tell your manager that you are very sick and would have to take complete rest for some days as advised by your docyor. Thus you want to avail your leaves. If you don't recover then you will not be able to fully concentarte on your work and this will also reflect in your performance. Thus you want to work whole heartedly for the company and want to take some rest to recover fully. You hope he will understand you and sanction your leave soon.

I am sure your manager will consider your case and will definitely sanction your leaves. Good luck . Get well soon

    Hello Friend,
Dont take it wrong ,there definitely some reason behind the rejection of your leave by the manager...may be he is thinking your situation is not that worse and you can attain the office and this may occur when the number of resources in the project are less and some of hem are already in leave during that period.
so what you can do is show your medical certificate to him and tell the severity of the sickness then he will definitely grant you leave.and in the period of sickness nobody can terminate you siting it as an offence...and companies also have separate sickness leave policies you can avail those during this period.
if there is work from home policy in your project then ask your manager that you will not be able to come to the company but will be able to work from home and will try not to make any business loss.he will definitely grant you leave.
still if he dont agrees then you just simply stay in leave and produce the medical certificate to the higher management if they question you.
    Thank You

Its very shocking and irritating to hear this its very sad that when your health is not fine and your not given a leave this is totally unacceptable.. don't live in fear when your health is in bad condition you have every right in asking a leave and there are some leaves which are granted to an employee and they are fixed one cannot deny their rights if you don't have freedom in asking a leave that too its on emergency its disgusting.. you need to consult the human resources manager in this issue you can definitely sort out the issues and personal department will help you through..
i think you need to see this in the way of an employee who loses his freedom in an organisation.. you should not leave this matter anymore.. yes you should reconsider if there are any audit times and work pressure is more or any project deadline is scheduled then its better to postpone your leave... find the reasons from your manager why he rejected your leave....then act according to situations

    Hi friends,

Don't nervous they definitely some reason behind the rejection of your leave by the manager .
I think your situation is not that you can attain office and this may occur when the leave during that period.
So you can show the your sick certificate and tell to the your problems then he will definitely grant for leaves you.
You can more leaves don't get them because you are a worker.

So you can avoid the work pressure also.
    Keep going to your work.

    Thanks!!!

    ALL THE BEST........

    hiiii,
well health is really important for you. claim your leaves that you have not taken it yet. go to doctor have a medical as a proof so that your manager may sanction it without any trouble.
well as he is threatening you for losing your job too, then you should not get nervous first of all. take your leaves there would not be enough problem.
thanks hope you get well soon

    Dear Aspirant,

Really,it is a painful situation. You must be sanctioned your leave in such condition, because health is wealth. When you are not well, any thing may happen while working in such situation. So get a medical certificate & meet the manager HR.Explain your situation with him.He may entertain you in positive attitude. If you still don't get good cooperation from the management, you can meet the still higher authority to get your leave sanctioned.

If you still feel inconvenient, submit your leave application with the medical certificate & take rest. The management will not feel easy to terminate you on this ground, because it is very inhuman behaviour not to sanction leave in case of such urgency.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Hey,
Its a serious issue that your boss is not sanctioning you the sickness leaves. You can lodge a complain against him to the higher authorities if not granting sickness leaves is against the policies of your company. You can produce a medical certificate from your doctor as an evidence or proof of your sickness. Health of any employee is the responsibilty of the company too, please take a strict action against your boss and take care

    hello friend
the health of you is first thing then the other problems come you must take leave if your boss fired you then you may go to court. if you died due to your sickness then who take the responsibility of your family neither manager nor company so my suggestion is that take the leave.
thank you friend hopes you like my suggestion........
