    Manager having some psychiatric problem

I am working in a private firm. Our manager is a very good person by heart but sometimes he has various fluctuations in his emotions and mood swings. He gets very angry unnecessarily and sometimes doesn’t speak at all after calling us to his office. I think he needs to consult a doctor as this is some kind of psychiatric problem in my opinion. How to deal with him?

Re: Manager having some psychiatric problem

    Hi friend

It is really sad that your manager has such a problem and he should definitely consult a doctor in order to get it treated. Your manager should try to see and realise that he is a problem and not shy away from consulting a doctor. A large number of people in our country have such psychiatric problems and its better that they themselves get treated rather than being in trouble throughout their lives.

I think the best option for you, if you really care about your boss, is to tell him in some way or the other that he needs to consult a doctor. As for you , you should learn to deal with your boss's manners patiently as he is not doing this knowingly but he has some genuine problem and thus needs to be taken care of. If you employees don't take proper care of him, then who will.

You should try to find the contact number of one of your boss's family members. Try speaking to him personall. Tell him that you and the other employees of this company think that your boss has some kind of a problem and that he needs to consult a doctor for that. He needs to have proper treatment otherwise he can land in trouble later on in his life. You have come here in the capacity of his well wisher more than his employee. You really wish that he gets well soon and thus leads a normal healthy life. As for the problem, you have seen him many times undergoing various fluctuations in his emotions and mood swings. He gets very angry unnecessarily and sometimes doesn't speak at all after calling his employees to his office. Thus you hope that his family memebers look into this matter and take the necessary steps.

I am sure his family will understand you and will thus take the right steps in order to get him treated. Then he will surely get well soon and thus cease to have this psychiatric problem. Then you employees also will not have to face any trouble anymore. I hope you understand my point friend.

    Good luck and Thanks
