Low performing account manager gets high grades

Our multinational bank’s human resource department use behaviorally anchored rating scales(BARS) system to judge employee’s behavior. One of the poor performing account manager has received high grades. It is a biased decision and may set wrong examples. Please suggest what I should do.

Re: Low performing account manager gets high grades

    Hi buddy

Whatever method your bank may be using for judging the employee's performance but your management should make sure that they reward only the deserving candidates and don't practice any kind of bias in this matter whcih is very important for the future of the employees. If the wrong person is given the credit, then the rest of the employees will be dissatisfied and disheartened and will not give their whole hearted effort to their work which will prove deleterious to the company itself.

You should talk to the manager in this regard and not let your company do such injustice to you and the other employees who are more deserving than the one getting undue credit. Those who put genuine efforts in the work are the ones who deserve to be rewarded and imagine how would they feel if someone else gets the reward in their place, who hasn't worked hard at all. I know you would be feeling the same at this time.

Tell your manager that you have noticed that the company is rewarding the wrong people based on the performance of the employees. One of the poor performing account manager has received high grades . This is a biased decision and may set wrong examples. so you hope and request them to revise their decision and thus reward only the deserving candidates if they want their company to progress.

I am sure your manager will take notice of you and thus hopefully will revise the decision in your favour. Good luck
