Re: Limit of salary in deduction of ESI?

When your salary will be under 10000 only then it will be come under ESI.
As you say it is 15000 then it does not come under EST. So As per my
knowledge ESI is deducted on amount equal to or less than 10,000. The
gross salary should be made in such manner that it does not come below
10,000 in that case if total salary is 15,000, ESI once deducted is deducted
for a period of six months that is half yearly.

And one thing more that is ESI is deudcted on gross salary after all deudction
whether it is LTA or anything.

    Hi

as per my knowledge the ESI deduction is based on your gross salary.

if your salary is 15000/- then it doesnot come under ESI deduction.

for that you have salary in the range of 10000/-.

    deduction is like below:

4.75% of gross salary of employers.

1.75% of gross salary of employee.

There is no slap as such for ESIC deduction. Those whose salary is less than 15,000 has to pay the ESIC amount. Those who are having salary of more than 15,000 need not deduct ESIC from their salary.

Total 6.50% has to be deducted from the salary of the employee who is having less than 15,000 as salary.

Ie 4.75 by employer and 1.75% by employee.

The present limit for esi deduction is rs 15000/- per month.
If gross salary is less than or equal to 15000/- then esi has to be paid by the employer, if he has employed 10 or more persons.

    Dear concern,

if someone's gross salary is less than 15000/- then in that case he or she is applicable for ESI deduction.

but some one's gross salary is above 15000/- then in that case he or she is not eligble for ESI deduction.

and deduction are as follows :
    1. 1.75 % from employee side.
    2. 4.75 % from employer side.

    Regards,
