    A less talented, less experienced female employee getting a salary hike in my place

    I am working in a government organisation. Just recently a less talented, less experienced female employee got a salary hike in my place just because she is having some affair with the managerís son. My manager has promised to give me a salary hike this time but I didnít receive it. How to deal with such injustice?

    Don't loose your anger. This things do happen all the time at work place.
    There are people in our society who takes advantge of being a women in
    work place. You should ignore it. Just follow your work with a honest and
    disciplined manner.You will get your reward sooner or latter.

    Hello Aspirant,

    If it is true,it is not fair & objection must be raised for such injustice.In general,salary hike in govt.sectors are given under two conditions,one in promotion & another in pay revision.Pay revision for the govt.employees is in force after completion of service of 10 years.Apart from the above hike in salary,there is a provision to sanction annual increments to all the employees on the 1st July of every year @ 3% of the sum of basic pay & grade pay.

    Also there is provision of salary hike in govt.sector after completion of 10,20 & 30 years of service,which is called monetary benefit under ACP.If junior gets hike in salary before to senior,it means the character report of the concerned senior is bad,for which the concerned employee should be informed in advance before writing bad remarks.

    So see your case & object for the injustice done against you by writing complain to the senior authority & if you don't satisfy with the response,sue the matter in court.

    Hi aspirant

    Your manager has definitely done injustice with you by giving the salary hike to someone else who is less deserving than you just because of some personal favours. He should not misuse his power in such a way and you should make it sure that he gets the punishment for his wrongdoing. You should not sit quietly in this case and should go and speak to the higher authorities regarding this.

    Tell them that due to your hard work and efforts your manager has promised you that he would give you a salary hike this time. But when the time for it came he gave it to a less experienced, less talented female employee in your place just because she had an affair with his son. This is certainly wrong and you want them to look into this matter and give justice to you. You hope that they will help you out.

    I am sure they will give you justice and teach the manager a lesson. Good luck

    Hi,

    It is totally incorrect to give salary hike to a less talented, less experienced employee and not to you.
    But, these type of things happens in every place.
    We all have to face injustice at some point of our professional life.
    So, don't think much and waste your precious time on it.
    Better will be talk to talk to the manager once about it politely and listen to what he has to say.
    Also, try to get some assurance that it will not happen again.
