    Legal actions against burglary in office

    An office entity where a number of employees work is full of many facilities meant for the employees working in it. On the other hand it is responsibility of the employees to take care of the facilities provided. In my working place one of the employees is used to do burglary now and then. The matter is not for big and small things but for ethics, so please mention some strict legal action against these.

    See the organization provides various facilities to their employees so that they feel comfortable at their workplace and can enjoy their work.
    Hence they provide the employees with various stationary such as pens,notepads,sticky pads and even laptops.
    Not only this,there are coffee making machines that are present in the offices so that whenever the employee feel like having a cup of coffee,they can have one.

    But it is bound to happen that some of the employees start misusing these facilities and start taking undue advantage of the same.
    This is completely wrong and not in the interest of the organization.
    It is the duty of the employees not to take disadvantage of the things that are being provided to them for their own convenience.

    As far as your case is concerned,you need to report this matter to the management.
    Usually,there are CCTV's installed in the office.
    If you are sure that the employee is involved in burglary in the office,then you can ask the management to check the CCTV footages to confirm the same.
    I am sure there will atleast one footage that will show that person involved in such activities.

    Once you have the proof,request the management to take strict action against that employee.

    You need to throw this rebel out of the organization.
    He's harming the growth and the environment of the organization.

    Your company should certainly issue some strict rules and regulations against the burglary in office. If your company has provided so many facilities to its employees then its certainly the responsibility of the employees to take care of those and not to misuse them. And misusing is one thing and stealing the articles is altogether a different aspect. This is very hideous on the part of that person to do such a lowly thing as stealing office articles and such people should definitely be punished and not be left unpunished.

    You gathere all the proof against the employee and then call him to your office. Tell him that he has been caught stealing office artcles thus destroying the ethics of the company. Tell him to accept his mistake . And then give him a suitable punishment like asking him to return all the articles and to pay a certain compensation for the same. Also as he is a bad influence on others, you can even terminate his serevices. Also warn the other employees that if they do the same, same puinishment will apply to them too.

    1.First you are to serve notices among the staff about burglary.

    2.Call an urgent meeting to take appropriate actions against burglary.

    3.Go to do FIR to the nearest police station.

    4.Decide whether the incident happened due to negligence of staff.

    5.Try to get insurance benefit if there is any provision against the burglary.
