As a Lawyer should I save my guilty client?

I am a lawyer by profession . Yesterday one of my clients came to me for help.He frankly told me he was guilty but that he wants me to save him. He has committed a serious crime. My conscience is not allowing me to help him but as he is my client it is my duty to save him. So what should i do?

    dear,
really an amazing question i have ever found.
according to me, duty of lawyer should be to proof the crime or search the truth not to save the client.
so,in my view you should also do this and as he (guilty one) has committed the crime he is entitled for punishment but you may beg for some relief in front of judge.
