Increment of notice period due to non-achievement of targets

I resigned 4 months back. I am working in a private bank. I served a notice period of 3 months. Somebody told me that it is not necessary to achieve the given targets but my company increased my notice period telling that I have not achieved the targets.

    Hi,

This type of contracts are normally not made...but first of all you need to study your appointment letter properly...all the terms and conditions are mentioned there...

If that condition is written and you have accept that appointment letter...there is no way and if the same condition is not mentioned and there is no written company policy ...nobody is allowes to increase your notice period...

If you does not fulfill your target, they can remove your name from increment/incentive list...

    Best of luck...

    Hello Aspirant,

Your question does not reveal what you want to say or ask.The notice period is one of the clause of the terms & conditions of the appointment letter. The period may varies from one month to 3 months. It has to be followed by both the employers & employees. The purpose of notice period is to settlement of the accounts of the concerned employees in case it is given by the employees.

Since you have resigned from your job owing to not achievement of the target, the question of increasing the notice period seems not to be correct.

Now what you have to see that you must get settled all your accounts such as PF,gratuity, leave salary, bonus etc & get a experience certificate & relieving order from the employer. Also try your level best to get another good job.

    Good luck.
