    Increment given to one of the colleagues is not justified at all

    I am working in a private firm. Recently our company gave salary increment to some of the employees. But one of them did not deserve the increment at all. He has never been appreciated for his work and has been taking so many leaves on and off. There were others who deserved the increment more than him.How to raise our voice in this matter?

    Hi,
    It is common accross the organisation and same issues are faced by many employees...disappointments are too heavy for them who does not got any increments....

    However we don't have any rights to decide who is good and who is bad... You will kill yourself when you will start comparing with others...

    There is a system called "Bell Curve" by which the increment and promotions are measured in the organisations....Those who has worked hard will not get same time of incentives for sure....

    It varies boss to boss.... don't be very aggresive...
    What you can do is to raise your soncern to your boss for some resolution...

    Dear if you think that the person who got increment is not deserving for increment and hikes then you should raise your voice but before that you should think it well that your manager have decided the same thing and when he take leaves then no problem and if your manager think that he is the best and performing well in the company then you should not get involve in this matter because your manager will definitely be right at his place because he is well trained and more experienced than you so he know what is good and what is bad for the profit of the company but if you get support from other colleagues on this issue then you must raise your voice and go to the manager and ask them that why did they give the increment to that person when he does not deserve for this at all and you also may see his work done in the company means he does not complete works and takes leaves more than everyone in the office and then your manager will tell you about his work and if you find the details right then you should remember this in future

    See this is not your job to decide that who should be given increment and who should not.

    This can be due to any biasing or any other reason but the point is that it is the decision and also the power of the management to decide about such

    things.

    If you will try to do something and go against management that it can create problems for you.

    And thus you will have to face unnecessary stress.

    It is best that you concentrate on your job and don't get involved in such things as this will not help you in any sense.

    If you are a good performer the company will automatically value you and thus reward you for the same as companies performance directly or indirectly

    on their employees performance.

    I think this is the common for employees organisation
