    Is it inappropriate on ground of complaints if my boss insults me using sexually explicit comments?

    I am a lady employee working as a Technical Support in a Call center. I am satisfied with my job conduct and salary package but the only one thing of disappointment is the sexual comments and abuses of my boss. Nowadays the daily working has become impossible because of this hostile work environment. I discussed with my subordinates to file a complaint against him but one of them suggested that this type of complaint will not be appreciated by highers ups. So what can be done to make him behave properly?

    I strongly feel that you should never tolerate such comments and must take an action against the individual who crosses the limits of decency and dignity. Please do not be scared, rather talk to the HR about this matter. I am sure there would be some manager above your boss too. So keep the highest reporting manager in loop. Be very cool, calm, composed, confident and firm while discussing these comments with the management and the HR and put your point amongst them. I am sure they will help you and will resolve the issue in a matured manner. Please keep a note of all the derogatory comments that your boss has made on you and also, if required, keep one of your colleague ready to support your points and act as a proof. Thanks.

    Very sorry to noted the information you have posted .Sexual Harassment is very delicate thing to explain. with regard to action, unless we have strong evidence it is not possible take concrete action.You cannot rely on the allegations levlled against the boss unless it is backed by cemented proof.so you discuss this issue first with your boss and request him not to comments in a such a way by which how you are loosing your mental peace.Your polite explanation may bring him in to proper way.If the same scenario continues then you should bring to this matter to the higher officials in written for necessary action against him with strong proof.All the best.

    It is very bad to listen such bad thing.No one has been given right by the constitution of India to abuse a lady employee.You must oppose it otherwise there is no use of being a employee.In order to deal the matter,you should not afraid & talk to your boss straight way that "I am very much disappointed & worried with your ill behaviour.You use to abuse me sexually which is not permitted by the constitution of our country.In this case I have clearly to say to control such ill behaviour immediately otherwise I will take the matter to the police administration.''

    You need not worry.They may not dare to harm you,because they will fear of charges to be made by you.

    If you keep silent,no one will give you respect & every one like to male it a fun.

    hello friend,
    I think you should talk to your seniors and should take serious action regarding this. Because if you ignore this, then it may lead to some unhealthy action taken by your boss.
    You should persuade other female employees to look into this matter and go in group to some senior authority.
    Another thing you can do is change your working team, this will help you to get new boss and your problem will also get solved.

    Have you ever seen the advertisement in DD national that if any person make sexual explicit comment , making vulgar signs to seduce or try to make physical contact without your agreement then its illegal and you have a right to raise your voice against that person.
    If you think that it will make an impact in your job then let me tell you that you are doing the job for your self respect , but when you are not getting the respect in your work place then its not good to work in such organisation.
    I am not saying to leave that job on the spot, if you like to stop all the nuisance then you need to prove that your boss is an a*****e.
    For that you need to concentrate on the evidence for that if somebody with you do the complaint against him then it is possible to teach him a lesson.
    Or you need to record either in camera or in mobile recorder that what all vulgar comments he used to make with you.
    Nowadays spy camera you can buy that will do the trick.
    Just record that and provide that as an evidence.
    And after that leave the organisation because now its not safe to work over there.

    Dear same problem happens with many female employees and mainly in private sector jobs and mainly higher grade officers does this with lady employees but do not worry because there are some solutions but you just have to be fearless in the job because you have to keep your job continue so first solution is that you do not leave the job and tolerate everything but this will not work because this type of incidents makes the environment uncomfortable for female employees so if possible then you should go to your boss when he is in good mood and you may ask the reason that sir why do you harass me with sexual comments that I do not like at all because sir I am working in your company so I am responsible for the work whatever given to me and I am doing my best but sometimes I gets busy because of family so you should try to understand the situation and try to forgive me but do not comment on me that I can not tolerate so your boss may understand

    If your boss keep himself continue on the same way then you should start finding any another job in any company where female employees are satisfied with the job and everything and do not tell anyone about your new plan of getting a new job and I am sure that you will get a good job because you are experienced and having good ideas of working in companies so get a new job and when you get selected for the job then you should bring that appointment letter with your resignation letter and some sweets and go directly to your boss and first give them sweets and your boss will ask about the reason of sweets then you should say that congratulate me sir that I am leaving this company right now because I have got a very good and better job than that of present so I am really happy over this matter and I came first to you to inform you about this please accept this resignation and let me leave this company so your boss will be shocked and will get what he deserve
