Is this important to have appointment letter and experience letter of previous jobs? How to get them when the job is on contract basis?

I am an electrical engineer and works with an Industry on contract basis. I have two years work experience and that is all through contractor and thatís why donít have any appointment letter, offer letter and experience letter too. To get on roll job in any company is it important to have all these documents as a proof of work experience or not? How can I have a proof when Contractor doesnít give me any of above mentioned?

For contract basis no need to submit experience certificate. This is depends on your company some companies will give appointment letter and some companies will not give any letter.

So depends on company rules you have to submit the required documents.

But you have to submit you certificates. From post to post contract basis terms and conditions will vary.

So based on your post terms you have to submit your documents.

yes it is necessary to prove your experience when applying for a job,so the appointment letter seems to act as a proof for the same.however in your case, when appearing for the interview you might well inform the interviewer about your problem, and if possible show him some papers containing proof of your previous job contract.

you should force your contractor to provide you wth the experience letter atleast. that is mandatory otherwise your experience will not be counted as you will be compelled to hide the fact just because you dont have a written proof, or your new employer may take it in a different manner.

Hi. I do think that appointment and experience letters are required as a proof of your work experience . But it varies from company to company depending on their policies. Some companies may ask you to submit these documents and others may not.

However during the interview you can tell the interviewer that how you have worked on contract basis and havent got any experience or appointment letter from them. Tell them all the facts and dont try to hide anything. You can even show some of your project papers as proof. THey will surely understand you.

Also you can persuade your previous employer to give you a experience letter atleast. If you can make him understand your situation he may help you.

    Best of luck. Thanks

    Hello friend,
Though you are working in contract basis but inorder to join the company they must have provided you any of written document ,may not be formal but they must have provided .you can show that to the next company.apart from that while getting salary you can get the salry slip which you can display later in your career.
apart from that you can ask for experience letter as you are working for more than two years else if they dont have that facility then you can show the release letter to the new company which shows the duration of work in that company.
usually in these contract basis jobs they dont provide all proper documents ,same for the recruiter when they know that you were working in contract basis they wont ask for all documents.
    ThanK You.
