I was given notice period without any prior intimation

I had joined this company on contract basis and had told me that my contract will be renewed every year. If I donít get any intimation for extension, I should understand that my contract has been extended. Now its 5 years 6 months and 20 days. I have not received any confirmation on contract extension. My employer has given relieving letter with notice period. Now can I claim for the company to rejoin my back as there was no prior notice given to leave this job? Can I deny the relieving letter received from him? Please suggest.

Hi.. I think firstly you should check the companies policies thoroughly and see to it that they havent been changed during this period of yours..

If as you say the company's policy is to renew your contract after every i year and you have that in written then certainly your company is in the wrong as they didn't provide you with any prior notice..

You should consult your lawyer and ask him for some expert advice.. I think you should certainly sue the company for its wrongdoing and claim your job back.. Do take strict action against them and dont just let them get away with it..

    Best of luck.. Thanks

    Hello friend

    1. Ya your company should have warned you before giving you notice ..
    2. You can go and ask the management for the proper reason for your contact ending
    3. If they give you a satisfactory reason then you can resign
    4. Otherwise tell them that you should have been informed before and you arent going to acceptb the resignation letter
    5. Dont leave them without retaliation
    6. Take legal action if necessary..

    GOd Bless

    Hi aspirant
    1) You were told that if you dont get any intimation for extension you should automatically assume that your contract has been extended..So it means you certainly should have been warned of your relieving beforehand...

    2) You can certainly take action against your company or file a police complaint against them...

    3) Tell your manager that you didnt get any prior intimation for relieving and thus will not leave your job..
    4) Ask him the reason for your termination
    5) Tell him what you were told earlier about the contract and now they are going against their own rules ..
    6) They should certainly let you stay

    Good luck

@ you should give the prior intimation for Notice period

@ otherwise they won't accept the Notice Period

@ without intimation you have terminated

@ company will provide any necessary documents to you

@like Experience letter ,releaving letter and payslips

@for those documents you should give prior intimation

@ these documents are required for next job
