I am in no mood to leave my present job but one of my colleagues is pressurizing me to do the same

I am working in an automobile company. I am very satisfied and happy with my job except for one small glitch. One of my colleagues wants me to leave this job and go somewhere else for his own selfish gain. But I am in no mood to do the same. How to handle such a situation?

    Hi Dear,

Your life is entirely yours and you should take up the charge of your life and not anyone else. It's good to hear that you have the strength to face challenges of your life and resolve your problems. So, in my opinion take your time and think whether this change of job is required or not. Just do not go for a change to make your friend happy. Decisions regarding career should not be taken in a haste rather should be taken wisely and using your intellect.

Moreover, every time life is not rosy and we should be ready to face challenges and overcome hurdles with patience and maturity. We cannot afford to keep moving because of small disturbance or trouble.

Henceforth, it's your decision and an important one, so think and then change or stick to the same firm, resolve the occurring problem and aim for a lucrative growth here itself.

    Thanks.

    DEAR,

I think that on your life no one has the right to rule it, except your parents . Thus it is your sole right to take decisions of your future and not to be influenced by what some one else says.

If you find that the job is satisfying then you should not opt for the other one. As you said that your job has one fault then i would like to tell you that every thing has advantages as well disadvantages. And you should be happy that there is only one thing that you does not like in your job. So in my opinion you should not leave your present job on saying of your colleague.

    Hello...

This is world where you will not find a single person who is selfless. Everyone first looks for his benefit and then think for others. If you feel your colleague is showing a selfish nature and wants you to leave your job, please give a second thought because in this present generation full of competition it is extremely important that you know your potential. If you are satisfied with your work and does not want to go according to your colleague , simple say a "no" to him. You must learn to say 'no' politely when you don't want things to go against you.
If he is being selfish and doesn't care for your future security, then you should also not think so much as to what he will think of you.
Do what you and only you think is right, without getting influenced by the second person.

    Thank you.

when your satisfied with the present job in automobile company then i don't feel that you resign the job and you have to be clear about what your credentials and your abilities are.. if you find the company good and your job profile which your doing it within the company then dont even think about resigning the job.. its ridiculous that your colleague is asking you to resign and join other company now you should know his intention is he mentally sick is he talking rubbish I disapprove his suggestions and advice its like behaving like a kid I would be better that you ignore him truly and always do tell him the same he tells so it would be better you tell him to resign first after that tell him that you will put a though about resigning.. also advice him to resign for his betterment.. its really funny to hear this its also a serious matter is he gone mad?? Why he is back of you to resign from job I would like to report this matter to your boss he is being a hypocrite dont tolerate stupid ways of damaging your work and never involve in arguments and never believe in them any way.. so its important that you clearly ask him what is his hidden agenda and make it clear that you will not resign and if he is having any vested interests then immediately you should speak to HR department and also to your boss..

you can also tackle him with an plan that you should produce a government legal stamp document paper take his sign with statement that you will be ready to resign only if he guarantees a job in another automobile company and if he fails to to do so then you would be receiving a amount of 5 lakhs on bank surety basis.. whenever he asks you to resign then again trouble him with the agreement I am sure he will not ask you to resign for his selfish concerns.. this is very shocking to hear I feel like throwing him out I I were the boss so its important that you always avoid such stupid people .. never take these people good then are such persons who are wicket natured and always want to always backstabbers should never mingle with them be with your own set of people or friends of your choice.. also discuss about the wicket nature of your co-worker.. all the best
