    How to teach my colleague the art of good communication skills?

    I am working in a software company. One of my colleagues, who is also my friend, is very poor at communicating with the senior officials. He has been reprimanded lot of times for this shortcoming of his. He has been asking me to help him. How can I teach him this art of good communication skills?

    language skills and voice modulations. You should request him to join either

    1. British Institute.

    You should teach him the skill of communication. For this have regular conversation with him pretending yourself as a senior person then him,show him how to talk.
    Ask him to increase his vocabulary, to deal with the typical words. You should ask him to view the skills tutorial available on the internet.
    Best and the simplest thing is that you should have more and more conversation with him,and should simultaneously correct his mistakes.

    Basically you have to understand his problem,why he is unable to communicate properly? Is it the languge barrier or something else?
    If it is language problem then he has to learn the subject properly.He might lack in confidence while talking to the seniors.If the problem is so then he has to develop confidence gradually.Infact you can help him to build in confidence.If there is any other problem regarding being shy or unimpressive,it is better if you take him to a pyshologist for easy assistance.

You can help him if you yourself have good communication skills otherwise it will be difficult for you to help him in this matter. You should first try to instill confidence in him which he surely would be lacking after so many scoldings from the seniors.

    Then after he has gained self confidence then you should teach him how to speak in front of others in a proper and presentable manner. He should see to it that his speech is clear and that he does not make any grammatical mistakes. If his english is not that good he should read good english books to improve his vocabulary and with time he would surely be able to speak good english and be able to impress everyone.

    In this way your tips and help will help him in overcoming this problem of his and you too would be satisfied by your effort in helping someone else. Good luck

    > And keep on correcting him for his mistakes...he will come to know where exactly he is going wrong..

    Having good communication skills is the basic requirement for survival in professional world.If you lack in good communication skill you will surely face problem.

    Just tell your friend ,you enhance his active vocabulary .It can only be increased by having conversation with others.

    Because some persons have good vocabulary but when it come to conversation they forget the words.Practice is the thing which makes a man perfect in any activity.

    -tell him to go for soft skills program

    -he himself should have an interest to learn the skills
