How to react when your boss wants you to do the work of one of the employees, along with your own, while he is on leave?

I am working in a software company. One of the employees is taking a week’s leave and my boss wants me to handle his work also, along with my own, while he is on leave. This is not fair at all as I will be overburdened with work. How to tell my boss that this is not right at all?

    Hello Friend,

Well, as IT professional I know how hard it is to do multi-tasking at work place. But still I believe this is a golden opportunity to show your skills and management ability to your boss. You are a professional and your mindset should be like a professional. If you have too much work pressure then you should talk to your boss and clarify your current situation. He will surely understand your problem. Software industry is a volatile industry and timely execution of work is the need of the hour. I know it would be tough for you to perform your and your colleagu's work at the same time but you can do it. This experience will give you huge confidence and self belief. Take this opportunity with open arms and make a mark. Best of luck.

    Bye,
